Mas Coffee Co. — Restaurant in Grand Prairie

I was really excited to visit this new shop, as someone who was raised in GP and has since bounced to cities where local coffee shops are the norm. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the two beverages I tried. My partner got a latte and tasted like burnt coffee, while my iced matcha was powder-like and concentrated. Overall, based on our first impression with the beverages we selected, we won’t be returning. If however, you need a cute place to work away from home or a place to meet a friend, the interior and exterior are stunning. My only wish is that the aesthetics/design of the business matched the quality and service of the establishment. If you’re looking for good local coffee, do yourself a favor and go to Billie Joe Coffee Co instead.

I can’t vouch for the food, but my sister tried their breakfast tacos and said they lacked seasoning. Her other complaint was surrounding the price transparency of menu items, or rather, the lack thereof. $4.75 for a potato taco and $5.50 for a turkey taco seems a bit unjustified for GP cost of living prices. For comparison, I can find breakfast tacos (with handmade tortillas, potatoes, bacon, cheese, and beans) in Washington, DC for $4/taco. How is it possible that a high cost of living city has more affordable tacos than...

Third time coming here, will be the last. Zavalas, do better for your business. Today was Saturday morning so it was busy and we were patient. Time passed, orders came & WENT. We waited 20 minutes for a basic DRIP coffee, only to be told they have to grind and brew a new batch - so we left empty handed voluntarily. I approached the staff for a manger, was told there was none and, that there are a lof of complaints & nothing could be done - only offer a refund & the DRIP coffee. I just couldn't believe it took 20 minutes for the staff to realize they didn't have the most simple form of coffee at a coffee shop. I came here because it's not Starbucks, and it's local. Nevermore. We have two free coffee cards, who wants them?

Overall atmosphere ok- small & tight. Service ok, solution isn't always to refund. Food: great obviously...

So you guys are right by my office and my daughter walks to get coffee from y'all when she's out of school, late arrival, or coming to my office to eat lunch. Today she had late arrival and offered to buy me coffee and I was hesitant because I'm usually a Starbucks girl... LET ME TELL YOU, You guys have the BEST coffee I have had in my entire life, HANDS DOWN! I'm over here still craving the Ice Caramel Latte I had and I would be in there right now getting another if you guys stayed open longer. It's a little bit more expensive than Starbucks but TOTALLY worth it. You've got a new die hard customer, and I will be singing your name in praise to anyone who will listen. AMAZING coffee guys...
