As soon as we walked in, we had to pay for the buffet. A little different from others as you usually pay at the end. Nothing wrong with that though, The customer service was good. Very nice waitress. The food on the other hand not so much. This was our 1st time there and we were excited since we have heard so much of it but it definitely wasn't what we expected. The cold Salad bar had all your condiments and anything cold with seafood like shrimp cocktail, aguachile, etc. Their was flies around the cold food, the hot food their was a variety of foods offered but honestly all of it looked old and dry. I got a Porkchop, some red rice, a bit of al pastor meat, a fried Jalapeño, and a bit of guiso de chicharron. The Porkchop had flavor but it was a bit hard to chew on, had probably been out for a long time. The red rice was good. The al pastor meat was good, I used it with tortillas to make some tacos (tortillas are great the corn ones are hand made), The chile was not spicy so it was edible. The chicharron had some flavor but it wasn't fully cooked in the spicy sauce because it was still crunchy when you eat it. My little girls got nuggets, fries, bean and cheese sopes, and a sopita de fideo. Nuggets and fries ok, the sopes looked good but according to my kids they were a bit tough all around. The sopita looked good, I didn't taste it. It had what seemed to be cilantro and onion in it. My husband got some beef and chicken fajitas but they were old and stale. The dessert was good, I was hoping for Ice cream but didn't see any so I don't know if they have some or not. The dessert was mini glazed bund cake donuts vanilla, chocolate, & red velvet. Also mini Mexican bread, empanadas, and some orejas (bread/crackers). The drinks were good my little girls got Pepsi & Horchata and my husband got Horchata and Cafe de Olla and lastly I got agua de Tamarindo. The service was good, the drinks were good but the food was slacking. Almost everything was running low so it didn't look appetizing, yes their is different food options but almost everything was old and gone, I didn't get to try the tamales because their was only one and it looked very old. I understand maybe they might have low staff on cooks or maybe they served the leftovers from Sunday since it was a Monday. Also for a Monday at around 3ish the price for My husband, myself, a 4 & 6 year old was...
Read moreThe Worst Buffet Experience NOTHING BUT NASTY PORK!!!!!! I recently visited this buffet, and it was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Nothing about this restaurant was worth the $25 per person price tag. Firstly, the majority of the dishes consisted of cheap and poorly prepared pork. The quality of the food was extremely low, and it felt like the focus was on quantity over quality. Every single item was nasty and unappetizing, except perhaps the corn, which was just passable. I ended up paying over $80 for three people, and I genuinely believe I could have prepared a better and more enjoyable buffet at home for same of cost. Furthermore, the restaurant claims to serve Mexican cuisine, but this is far from the truth. As someone who appreciates authentic Mexican food, I can confidently say that they don’t know how to cook it properly. The dishes lacked the traditional flavors and techniques, making the entire experience quite underwhelming. In addition to the food quality, there were issues with the labeling of dishes. Many of the labels were not there or misleading, adding to the confusion and disappointment. To make matters worse, the restaurant is not ADA-compliant, making it inaccessible and uncomfortable for disabled individuals. This lack of consideration is unacceptable and shows a disregard for a significant portion of potential customers. In conclusion, this buffet is not worth the time or money. The food is subpar, mislabeled, and not representative of the advertised cuisine. Additionally, the establishment fails to meet basic accessibility standards. Save your money and find a better dining...
Read moreI absolutely love Hacienda Buffet! I’m not really into other buffets, but I need to hit up this place at least a couple times a month. The food is fantastic and it reminds me of my grandma and grandpa’s cooking.
I love the Pork and Chile Verde, rice, beans and Sopa de Fideo. These are my favorites that I get every time I visit. I’ve tried a few other dishes such as Pork and Chile Rojo and Hamburger and Chile and they’re all fantastic and delicious! I like flour tortillas and they’re made to order, fresh and hot. The Caldo de Res is also delicious too.
The buffet is kept very clean and anything spilled is wiped up promptly. The atmosphere is very nice with high ceilings and nice decor. They even have a guy playing the guitar and singing Mexican music table-side on the weekends. He’ll ask before he starts playing, but if he sings for you, make sure to tip!
The wait staff is very nice and be sure to tip them, as well! A manager even came by our table one night and suggested Mexican coffee as an after dinner drink. My roommate and I aren’t coffee drinkers, but she tried it and was pleasantly surprised! She said it was absolutely delicious.
Anyways, this isn’t your typical buffet. I love this place and if you’re reading my review and haven’t given Hacienda a try, I’d highly...
