Habaneros — Restaurant in Grand Prairie

I went here today after attending a basketball Game I wanted a taco plate with barbacoa Tacos with beans and rice on the same plate because we was getting them to go and I wanted to eat in the car on the way home because I did not eat today they brought my husbands plate and it was perfect. They brought a very small container with my tacos in it only no beans or rice. I told her we needed to go could I just please get my money back. I handed her the tacos and she took them from me and set them in the waiting area and walked off to get a small container of beans and small container of rice. I told her I was eating in the car and could I just get my money back? She grabbed all the food and proceeded to walk off I told her just keep that food and money we are on a time frame and you are refusing to return our funds. I walked out my husband felt like they should have gave him the food seeming how they charged me almost $20 for 3 barbacoa tacos and beans and rice. My husband brought this cold very greasy barbacoa tacos with cold beans and rice and no onions no celantro and no lime. My husband asked me to check the plate. I told him I would not eat it regardless because of the mannerisms. But I showed him the plate. He went back in and told the lady look you guys just had all the the cilantro, onions and limes in a separate container. She went and picked it up off the bar and proceeded to dump it in the container. He told her no just hand it to me why would you purposely do that. I would have gave them a zero if I could. I never tasted the food because everything was cold it took us 45 minutes to get this plate. I threw it away because they was so rude and laid my food all over...

Came in on Saturday night. 4 adults 2 children. Ordering was a challenge as we didn't speak much Spanish and our server didn't speak much English. Our server had to constantly get questions about menu items translated by another employee. The food was tasty however. I was surprised on the check we were charged for chips and salsa. I didn't notice it until after we left. The first basket was brought to the table and we didn't ask for it so we assumed it was complimentary. We asked for 1 refill of chips as our dinners took a bit. I have never been to a Mexican restaurant where you didn't get chips and salsa complementary if you were ordering drinks and meals. We had to constantly get our servers attention for things. Napkins, silverware, drink refills etc. The icing on the whole experience was when we waited so long on the check that my husband and our friends left the restaurant and I'm still hunting for the server to have her run my card. This was our second visit to this location so we were really shocked how much the service level changed overnight. We may come back again because the food really was that good. I will say that if we come back in again and the server we had is our only option we're going to turn around and leave and go...

I went for the first time today with recommendation from my coworkers. We went together as a team for lunch, 6 of us. As far as the place itself, the atmosphere is good, clean and welcoming. One of my co-workers and I both ordered the Mole enchiladas from the lunch menu. In which, both her and I did not like and did not finish, we left both pates full. We mentioned it to the waitress and asked if one, not both plates could be removed from the bill. Which we believed, since 2 were ordered that it wouldn't be fair to not at least pay for one, even though both plates were not eaten. We were told that no plates would be taken off from the bill for Mole is an acquired dish and was not eaten because its a preference of flavor due to different cultures. So not only were we charged for both uneaten lunch plates, we were charged dinner prices for lunch. We were charged additional for limes to add to our waters and sweet teas, charged for second round of chips which was not mentioned when we asked for more... it should be a courtesy to be mentioned if its going to be an additional charge.
