The original Ton's, it's been here for years & I believe has been run by the same people with several long term staff members. The staff has always been kind from the minute you walk in the door whether they are wait staff or cooks, always courteous. It can get busy here but they are efficient! If you've never had Mongolian grill you basically put all your food in a bowl (here you use two) - proteins, veggies, noodles, sauce, & cook it all together on a large grill at the end. You can ask them to make you fried rice at the grill too, just eggs & soy sauce or to use it as the base of your meal if you don't want noodles. If you want an egg, ask when they take your bowls to start grilling your food. Hot & sour or egg drop soup are available if you'd like & you can order some white rice with your meal if preferred. Ice cream is available for a sweet treat at the end. All these things are included in your meal. Sometimes the area where you get all your ingredients can be messy. It's hard to control the mess people make, especially with the sauces but we came at a slow time where no one had been in front of us & oil was all across the counter. Sometimes the floor can get greasy too in the same area. Like I said, it's been around for awhile, it's a little run down but the quality of food is still good. It's truly a staple in Grand Prairie, don't miss out!

When I first moved to DFW in 2006 I was in training for a month in Mansfield and the Tons that used to be off Debbie Ln was 3 days a week dinner for me in my hotel room. I loved their Mongolian grill. After moving farther north I never get down to this area anymore but looked up Tons recently to see if it still exists. The Debbie ln one unfortunately closed but saw this one still open so knew I had to make a trip. Was pleasantly surprised to find it's still really good and I immediately recognized that great scent of the meal right off the grill when my plate was handed to me. Hopefully this one lasts a long time and I can continue to occasionally drive down to get what I remember as my earliest meals while here in DFW 16 years ago.

I enjoyed the food, and it was great for the price point since it was all you can eat. They have all the seasoning sauces at the end, so you add it into your bowl before you asked them to cook it at the grill. Make sure to tell them if you want an egg or two or rice before the cooks start grilling. Your entry fee also include egg drop soup and ice cream at the end. I didn’t like the egg drop soup. I saw that people were complaining about the smell in other reviews, but I didn’t smell anything bad when I visited.

This place is disgusting. Please look at their numerous 1 star reviews on Yelp and that will give you a more accurate rating. Based on the Google reviews we wanted to give this place a try. From the moment you walk in you realize this place would've been dirty 40 years ago. The buffet area is right next to the bathroom which is disgusting. Tables, chairs, decor, walls, air vents, neon lights, etc. EVERYTHING is filthy. The waitress was pushy and we basically ended up eating there because we ordered soft drinks before even realizing how truly nasty everything was. The food was awful. Again, the buffet is right next to the restroom. All of the veggies are cut into micro pieces. The buffet area and cooktop were also gross. The guys running the grill were completely incompetent and rude. They constantly had to keep adjusting the temperature because the grill wasn't hot. They didn't ask if we wanted eggs or rice and were unresponsive when we tried to get their attention. When they handed us our plates without rice we asked for rice and they threw it back on the grill and charred it to hell to cook the rice. The food was barely edible. No flavor what so ever. Some of the rice was burnt, raw, and mushy at the same time. We politely declined the ice cream and wasted $35 and left quickly. Please DO NOT eat there because this will make McDonald's bathroom look like a 5 star establishment. I almost forgot, they also put extra storage of boxes in the back with tables on their sides like it's nothing. We were so turned off we didn't even bother taking the fortune cookies. Whoever is reading this I bet you don't know anybody that left an Asian restaurant without taking their fortune cookie. It...

My 4 year old daughter and I got to treat ourselves out to dinner and we decided on Asian food. I especially liked that my daughter could have her veggies raw (uncooked) as she loves them as well as she enjoyed watching the cooks. At first, my bowl and hers was mistakenly combined to one serving plate which of course we then had to go back through the buffet line to re-fill a new bowl to have made again and I did not complain about. And then when we finally we're able to sit and eat, about 10-15 minutes later my daughter had an emergency visit for she began feeling sick. So I took her to the restroom and we then returned to our table hoping to find our bill to quickly head home for my sick daughter. But no ticket. I saw our waitress several times and tried waving to her so we could get going but no luck. So of course we just stepped over to the register for payment and explained how we couldn't get our ticket from the waitress as well as how my daughter had just been sick. And though was upset about the lack of service as well as food illness i left a $2 tip. As we were about to exit the waitress then ran up to the register handing our ticket the the guy at the register which he then tried charging us additional fees. He argued with me and then rudely told me to leave. I was so upset but I don't think I'll ever go back as much as I enjoy...
