Tacontento Taqueria — Restaurant in Grand Rapids

The food is always amazing, but my visit this evening 1/2/24 was markedly poor. The associate at the register was truly one of the least pleasant individuals I’ve ever encountered. When I unpacked my to-go order at home I saw that 4/10 items were missing and called to ask if they were still there and could I come pick them up. She told me immediately “no, you didn’t order that.” I absolutely did and said the next step is a dispute with the ordering service and/or my credit card. She then said “well, if you can make it in the next 8 minutes I guess you can come back but we close soon.” I made it in five, waited an additional eight, and got a cursory “sorry” without eye contact or acknowledgement that I did in fact order the items.

She was absolutely foul to interact with and deserves one star.

Two stars for atmosphere because it also smelled like straight up sewage in there.

The food is awesome though. Will I order again? Probably. Will I make an effort to order through Uber Eats / Door Dash / Grub Hub to avoid the diarrhea smell and her diarrhea of the...

Every blue moon, we’re able to get an order in, and when it does it’s SOOOOO GOOD! After Tacos Yanga closed, we needed another go-to spoty spot. Betos is starting to be inconsistent with the food though. Always out of something and honestly it’s getting annoying. Orders being cancelled on DoorDash. So I call on another day, then get told they don’t know what rice w/ the chicken and beans is, that I called the wrong place, then when I said it in Spanish all of a sudden they don’t have that either. Yall don’t realize how much money you can make, off of me alone and I’m right down the street. Please get it together....

The manager was unprofessional. Servers nice! Burrito was cold! poor explanation why.. I saw smoke coming from the burrito at the table next to me. The manager did not even come to my table..I've been to better taco places. I will not return to this place. They also took 17 minutes to make 1 chicken taco. They were mad I sent the cold. Burrito back. I will not return.. They just opened so they dont care about customer service..The burrito was cold because they stuffed it to capacity with lettuce! Rice has no flavor!
