I visited here for the first time recently but it will quite possibly be my last visit. Upon entering this establishment the atmosphere seemed quite friendly. However, in stark contrast the service (or lack thereof) was not. The employee behind the counter offered me nothing more than a blank stare. After placing my order in a very monotone way they offered me my total. I then watched for the next twenty to thirty minutes while the same employee washed and dried dishes before ever creating my order. After finally completing my order the employee brought it to my table then slammed it down in front of me. I very warmly said, "Thank You...have a great day" and yet they still said nothing. If not for the supreme taste of the drink I consumed this establishment would have left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I understand that as human beings we all have bad days. However, on those days those of us in the service industry have a responsibility to our customers to either rise above or take ourselves out of the equation temporarily. If you cannot engage with customers in a friendly way you should not be there...at least not on...

Host your next event here!!

Squibb is the perfect place to host your event, at an affordable price compared to so many places with over the top minimums and rental fees. I've been to 3 private events at this location (2 wedding rehearsal dinners and 1 reunion) and I'm trying to think of more reasons to rent because it's always worked out so well. Mallory is responsive, easy to work with and I cannot recommend her and her shop enough!

The space holds up to 60 guests and serves coffee, beer, wine and other non-alcoholic drinks so there's something for everyone. You can pay per drink or they have drink packages available. They'll even let you cater in from other companies if you want full food service. In two instances we catered from outside vendors for dinner service and the third time opted for the charcuterie through Squibb. The charcuterie was beautifully presented and had a nice assortment.

Overall, great service and ambiance. Highly encourage you to consider this place for your next...

I wasn’t sure about Squibb when I first arrived. It feels a little to square; one long row of tables, seats at the bar, a high top, and a couple lounge chairs reluctantly tucked into the corner. It doesn’t have the intimate coffeehouse feel that I usually prefer, but after a few minutes I realized it’s more of a workspace cafe. Probably 85% of the patrons were working in some fashion, without much socializing or hanging out. I had a very smooth and flavorful latte and an exceptional oatmeal cream pie. The detail that gives Squibb 5 stars to me was the music - they played some great albums all the way through, which I always admire in public spaces. I’m looking forward to returning on my next trip to...

Their shop is in a fun location and in a cool space. But my experience as a whole felt very much like this first picture of the cup, disorganized. There were not many customers at the time I was there, but it still took a while to get to my order and quite a while before starting my order. By the time they finished, I was hoping my pour over would deliver, but it didn’t. Onyx Coffee is what they use (well respected), but it was piping hot for a pour over and tasted burnt and watery at the same time. I will say I’ve been here a couple other times and didn’t feel as disappointed, but one thing that has been consistent is I do think the staff could be warmer and more attentive.

Squibb is my favorite place to get coffee, a variety of yummy toasts, and incredible cheeses. The atmosphere is friendly, inviting, productive, and spotless. What I think is the best is their amazing catering! Full trays of cheeses, meats, breads, nuts, and pickled items are to die for (all with little hand written signs and attention to detail) and they do iced teas, too! I've had them cater two large events so far and they've completely knocked it out of the park. Customer for life!

Had a lovely experience at Squibb this morning. I had walked there with my baby in the stroller and he had just fallen asleep when I arrived and I was struggling to get the stroller up the stairs and in the door when out comes one of the baristas to assist me. He held open the door and welcomed me in and apologized for not having easier access. He then made me a delicious salted maple latte. It was the simplest of gestures but it made me feel like humanity still has a chance.
