This subway here has to be one of the worst. And I suspect it's because of one employee though, whom I presume is the manager considering she's the only consistent employee Ive seen there over the last 10 years. I used to go here every day for lunch, not because the food is necessarily good, but because it's generally quick and cheap, and let's be real, with pictured instructions posted about most subways, how can one really mess up a sandwich?
Well, this employee found a way. I don't know about anyone else, but I like somewhat of an even spread when it comes to the condiments, mustard mayo etc. And I presume that's the standard way, considering, again, the picture instruction, and the fact that every other employee does an even spread. So in what world does anyone put condiments on only half the sandwich?
As most are probably aware of, at subway they usually cut the bread down the center and fold it open. So this presumed manager for whatever reason piles the condiments on the crease, whereupon folding the sandwich closed, only spreads to maybe the center, at best, resulting in half dry sandwich with the other half unreasonably "wet," suffice to say, it's a very unpleasant experience. But whoa, don't you dare ask her to fix it: then she squeezes damn near the whole bottle in no particular way but unpleasant, with a nasty attitude to match, as many other reviewers have pointed out. I'm sure we're all talking about the same person.
As I previously mentioned, I used to go here every day, and I've been around this particular one for over a decade now, and I stopped going entirely over half that decade at least (I still frequent the quickstop it's conjoined to though, all the staff is pleasant there btw). I don't understand how this unpleasant subway lady has maintained their position there tho, especially after reading some reviews going back years reporting similar experiences, with this lady particularly. I can only presume, they are buying positive reviews for this location (I'm looking at all those one word or one lined 4 and 5 star reviews) and that this unpleasant manager lady otherwise has dirt on the owner or...
Read moreWhen I visited the Subway I was cranky after a long day and was hungry. There was about three guest in front of me. My wait time to place my order was about six min. After I was greeted and asked what I would like...I asked for whatever the sub of the day was...and said to make it a foot long. The new hire (I assume) after pointing to the part of the menu dealing with the specials informed me I could only have a six inch because it came with a small soda...okay fine I was going to order a soda anyways...but can we add an additional 6 inch to my order? Sure...but my favorite bread was no longer available and I may have misheard the new hire but I believe she said the Ham and Cheese sandwich was now obsolete?? Ham and cheese ...which is a staple sandwich... Which was the daily special for Friday was obsolete?? In confusion I ask for clarity... Is my sandwich going to be made?? After she exchanged a hearty round of chuckles with her co worker, at my expense, I said maybe it was my fault for any confusion by dering the special sandwich and another that was the same but not a special price...as I only needed one soda cup. New Hire assured me "No no youre the customer you're always right . You're the boss" albeit I didn't feel like " the boss" at this juncture I choose to share I too once donned the Subway uniform and enjoyed my time as a sandwich artist at La Sierra and and in a moment of bragadoushness I added "It was a very busy location" She informed me she never heard of it. In a last ditch effort to try and turn this 2 star visit around and create an atmosphere of camaraderie shared a story about my time behind the counter ...and it worked...I had to admit I was being "picky" due to hunger ...and being informed that my favorite bread was no longer an option. Her handling of a "difficult customer could use some polishing but not bad for a new hire. My sandwich was tasty...the cookie was delish..my beverage was thirst quenching. I will turn my 4 star review to a 5 star if the workers start...
