Room carpet was soaking wet upon arrival; no rooms to change to; given towels to “soak up” water; told carpets were just shampooed-right. Next morning there was zero water pressure for shower. Left hotel at 11am and returned that evening at 11:30pm to wet carpet and sewage smell. Still no rooms to change to. Employee told us that maintenance had been up at 10am to fix the problem. We were in the room until 11:30 am. Employee had nothing to accommodate us like fans or room freshener. He found some pink spray and told us we would have to evacuate the room for at least 30 minutes due to chemicals. During that 30 minutes, we looked for other hotels to move to. Went back up to the room ; smell was worse than before chemical spray. Went downstairs to checkout and was told that we could have 50% of room rate taken off that night instead of full refund even though the room was uninhabitable. When I asked for a receipt upon leaving or an acknowledgment of room problem, the employee refused. The next day I called to speak with a manager, Kevin, and was told essentially the same thing. Then Kevin wanted to talk to me about contract law. At that moment I told him I would dispute the charges and he said to go for it. Later that morning, after my talk with Kevin and the posting of my first-ever Google review from the previous night, Kevin sent a form letter apologizing for our experience and offered to talk about it! Ha! Too late.you already tried and failed at that. Horrific experience. Closest available hotel was $300 that night, but at least we got a few ours sleep and were treated kindly. Ironically, my daughter and her school’s marching band were staying at a Holiday Inn Express about 5 miles away and the hotel was very nice, clean, and professionally staffed. I’m glad they had a...
Read moreI stayed here with my family for a week. Upon checking in everyone was very friendly. Since we were visiting family we just dropped our stuff in the room and left to visit the family. We got back to our room around 11pm and as I was getting ready to get into bed I lifted the covers and the entire bed sheet was covered with these weird stains. I was shocked as I read the reviews for this hotel before booking and mostly everyone had said they were a very clean hotel. I called the front desk and she stated that housekeeping had left for the day but she could give me a new set to change myself. I showed the young lady the sheets and she offered free snacks…. I was honestly speechless that was her resolution for the dirty stained sheets, any other hotel would’ve gave us a refund for the night. The next morning we asked the front to have housekeeping clean our room and change all the sheets due to what we found. When the housekeeping lady came to our room she stated that the sheets were clean because they always clean, I had left out the dirty stained sheets for her to see for herself as she was clearly implying we were lying. We left the room and went to talk to front desk. The young lady Jonnie said she could only offer us 500 points as we booked through a 3rd party. However, we booked directly through their website and their website was the one that redirected us to an IHG website since they are an IHG chain. She stated, “Next time book by calling the hotel directly.” I’ve never had such a terrible experience with customer service and they clearly don’t care about hotel guest satisfaction like they claim to. I would not recommend staying here unless you want to have dirty stained sheets and terrible...
Read moreWe are in the Jurupa valley area at least once a month for baseball and we will NEVER stay here again. This was the worst holiday inn we’ve ever stayed in.
We got checked in. Went up to our room walked in and the smell was so bad. It smells moldy and old. We sat on bed for 10 mins fully intending on staying there. But the smell became to unbearable that we called down to have our room changed. There was wrappers on the floor from previous guest. The front desk girl (night shift) was so rude and acted as if we were an inconvenience because we wanted a different room. Questioned if we used the bed ect ect. We finally got a different room and walked in… SAME ISSUE!! Room smelled moldy and old. This new room was also dirty. The bedding had hair all over it. We were so tired from driving my husband convinced me to stay. I almost canceled and drove the extra 19 mins to stay in the other holiday inn.
This hotel is not in a great area. Seems like the locals rent out a room for the weekend and get drunk and swim in the pool all day. Pool had at least 15-20 people in it. People walking in with cases of beer, kids running and screaming everywhere. The breakfast bar was being trashed by little kids. Elevators all smell like weed.
Last but not least the water was really sketchy!!! I noticed it was coming out very cloudy so I took a clean cup and put water in it and you can’t even see through the cup!! We refused to use the sink to brush our teeth, we just bought bottles of water and used that.
Definitely shouldn’t be called a holiday inn, this is an overpriced motel 6. Save your self the headache and drive the extra 19 mins to the next...
