First off, the atmosphere is somewhat depressing. The exterior space, lighting, decorum, and layout is all somewhat chaotic and shabby. Although the lady serving us was very sweet, she didn’t quite understand how to provide customer service. Regardless of that, I always try not to ‘judge a book by its cover’. Some of the best food I’ve ever had is out of a hole in the wall.
But I should have known after seeing the cans of meat in their attached mini mart that they had no idea about quality ingredients. I gave the chicken Shawarma wrap a try. After one bite of that dog food meat wrapped in oily flatbread, I knew I was in for an experience. The only veggies included in the wrap were soggy, intensely vinegar flavored pickles. I only made it 1/3 of the way through the wrap before I had tap out.
My sweetheart had the gyro, and broke out in hives 15 minutes after we left the restaurant. She had an allergic reaction, and became itchy all over her body, with her throat starting to swell.
So we basically spent $45 for my family to get poisoned with over-processed, definitely not fresh ingredients.
Now, I don’t normally like to leave negative reviews. I try to keep things pretty positive. And I also try to keep an open mind. But after seeing this restaurant had a 4.7 star average, and was literally one of the worst dining experiences of my life, I had to say something. I wish the woman (server/cook/owner?) and her family the best, but cooking should not be what they are doing. I hope they find a different avenue to express their gifts they bring to this world, as cooking and food is definitely not...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at The Palm Tree and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the tone for what would be an exceptional meal.
The menu is a delightful journey through Mediterranean cuisine, offering a wide array of dishes that cater to all tastes. We started with the mezze platter, which was a perfect medley of flavors, including creamy hummus, tangy baba ghanoush, and perfectly crisp falafel. Each bite was a testament to the freshness and quality of the ingredients used.
The service was impeccable throughout our visit. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive, and provided excellent recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. The restaurant's attention to detail, from the presentation of the dishes to the thoughtful wine pairings, was evident.
To top it all off, we indulged in a dessert of baklava, which was the perfect ending to our meal – sweet, flaky, and utterly delicious.
Overall, [Restaurant Name] is a gem in the Mediterranean dining scene. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner spot or a place to gather with friends and family, this restaurant delivers on all fronts. I highly recommend it and can't...
Read moreThis place was clean, spacious and nice and cool for a summer dinner The host was very nice. She explained everything and was patient. The Samosas were so good, they had a lot of flavor and just a little bit of spice that outer part was crunchy. The sauces were amazing for the appetizers. We had sampler platter that had the potato salad and the different hummuses, and each one was equally good. Then the meat came out. The meat was so moist. We had chicken and steak, and then we had beef shawarma and chicken shawarma, it was amazing. The grape leaves were good. They were a little bit vinegary, then normal, but they were still good they had this cooler full of drinks, and there was this clear drink that had a red label that tasted like cherry and it was really good this place definitely set the bar high for mediterranean food. I would highly recommend this place for a birthday dinner or any dinner for that matter. We definitely...
