We decided to go out to eat last minute as a family tonight and chose uccellos because a friend had brought us there before and everything was great. Everything was fine until we got our food and i cut into my first piece of chicken and it was very undercooked. No biggie, things happen. We asked our server if she could have the kitchen cook it a bit longer to just get rid of the pink and she took it back. She came back a few minutes later and told us they would have to completely remake the dish instead of popping it in the oven. Again, no biggie. I just asked her if she could put it to go since we had our 3 kids with us and didn’t want everyone waiting for me once the food would eventually get there. She then decided to drop the check in the middle of everyone eating and didn’t return. We wanted to order more drinks and dessert but were never given the option. We had to ask the food runner for boxes and bags to pack up everyone’s food and no manager ever came to check on us. My remake took longer than the original food and then the food runner was the one who brought it out to me in a box. I have been a server and front of house manager in many very busy restaurants for the last 16 years so I am extremely understanding when it comes to restaurant mess ups but this was ridiculous. We only saw our server at 2 other tables the whole time so its not like she was weeded, she did not take 1 dish/cup off our table the ENTIRE time we were there and then rushed us out for no reason. The only reason we had any room on our table is because we were stacking dishes ourselves to make room. Very disappointing night out spending over $100 on dinner. Makes us very wary to return to that location.
UPDATE The manager got in contact with us and sent us a couple vouchers to go and try the restaurant again. We decided to go today for lunch and everything was great! Our server, Caysee C., was wonderful. Super attentive, refills before we could even ask, checked on us multiple times, and made us feel very welcomed even though she had a completely full section. All of our food came out correct and very tasty. Portions were enough for us to leave full and still have more for later. Very happy with our experience this time and will gladly be going back...
Read moreThe service is generally not great, and they just don't care. They just can't get our order right, even after 4 tries. About a year ago I picked up pizza and pizza puffs to go. When I arrived at the quoted time, the pizza was ready and they said the puffs should be out any minute... Well, it took 20 more minutes for the puffs, and the pizza got cold. I didn't complain, but they gave me a card for a free app or dessert next visit, which was nice. In the.past year we dined in twice, told them about the coupon when ordering, and ordered an app and our dinner..both times the food took a long time, and the app never came, just our dinners. Both times we told the server no big deal and we'll just save it for next time. Finally tonight we tried again. We ordered takeout (a large order) for my birthday, my dad picked it up, gave them the coupon, and started checking bags to make sure it was all there, but they assured him it was, so he left. He left a tip, brought home the order. We ordered the margarita dip, and they included the sauce, but not the pita. It wasn't worth going back out, so we ate dinner and I called after. I explained twice what happened, was transferred twice, then after 5 more minutes a recording picked up. I hung up and called back, explained that I had been on hold for a missing item, was transferred again, explained again what was wrong with my order, the guy told me he was the one who packed the order and "could have sworn it was in there" I said it wasnt, then he said having trouble finding the order. He said "hang on" i wss transferred again, this time someone named Cliff picked up and said "thanks for calling Uccelos, how can I help you" at this time I decides it wasn't worth my time and hung up. They took my number when I placed the order, if any of the 4 people I talked to cared they could reach out and they didn't. I give up. The food is pretty good but the service is terrible. And honestly, I can get precooked pasta smothered in cheese anywhere. We won't be back. Good luck. Only great, well run, restaurants are going to survive coronavirus, I don't think they will be one of the ones that makes it, and maybe that's...
Read moreHorrible experience! We went there tonight hoping to have a great evening! My fiancé wanted a drink and gave them his license and our waiter, Zack, said he, “um I need a valid ID,” I was like,” that is his valid ID,” and he’s like, “well I’ve never seen an ID look like this so I need to go check it.” He has a basic enhanced license. Anyway he goes in the back gets it checked and comes back and say, “look in all honestly I don’t even think I should give this back because it’s not real.” At this point I was mad I said, “no you are giving him back HIS VAILD ID, because he needs it,” so he gave it back and I then asked to talk to the manager since he refused to serve my fiancé anything. Manager came over and said, “yeah we’ll I’ve never seen and ID look like that so unless you have any other proof we can’t serve you,” keep in mind we were there not even a week prior and his “not valid” ID worked. Anyway the manager said, “well you can go on Secretary of State to prove that it’s real,” and I’m like “oh you bet we are going to do that,” so we did that, whole additional long process. Anyway we proved that it was a real ID and that he was legally allowed to drink. And the manager was like, “oh well let me go get your server for you and he can get you guys all set.” We then proceeded to walk out since at that point I wanted nothing to do with this. We've never had an issue and this was just in my opinion not handled well. I think the manager could have been nicer about it. But unfortunately we will never be back to...
