Si Señor Mex Mex Grill — Restaurant in Granite City

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I placed an online order today for $38 worth of food. I never got a confirmation email, so I called the restaurant to confirm my order. I was told they had turned off online ordering and the order had been cancelled and my card would not be charged. I checked and the charge was on my credit card, so I called to ask for a refund.

I spoke to the Manager (didn't give me his name) who proceeded to tell me there is nothing he can do. He then informed me that he was very busy and did not have time to deal with it. I asked him if this meant I was out the $38 and he responded "NO! Can you not understand me or something?!? I told you to call this other guy" he proceeded to give me a phone number to call in order to get my refund then once again reiterated how busy he was and that he did not have time to handle this.

Luckily the guy I called after this was very pleasant and was able to easily refund me my money. I will not be returning to this location again due to the way I was spoken to by the Manager and his complete disregard of...

I've been here twice - the first time the service was slow but tolerable with a polite waitress and the food was average. I went again last night and the waiter was extremely rude when I asked his opinion on one of their highlighted specials, and kept making remarks like my fiance and I were ignorant for being there "oh this is a restaurant so if you order and don't like it, you still have to pay". Ok, great, thanks, I had never been to a restaurant before so I didn't know it worked like that. All I asked was if he could describe the special a little more, and if he would recommend it. He refused to answer those questions, so I tried it anyway. FYI - it was disgusting, so maybe that is why he wouldn't recommend or explain it to me. Recommend. Fast, Friendly and Relaxing.

Went for a business lunch. Our waiter was friendly and fast. There when we needed something and not intrusive while we discussed business! Very comfortable place to sit relax and enjoy your meal.

The food was great. Came out fast and was hot and delicious. Everyone in my lunch party was satisfied. They even brought my brother a hot sauce "really hot" they make in the kitchen that's "not on the menu". So if u like REALLY HOT...just mention to ur server that u would like to try the back/kitchen hot sauce.(My brother says most Mexican restaurants have this, I didn't know)

P.S. Don't forget to tip your serving staff!! They are on their feet all day dealing with "the customer" and get much less appreciation than they deserve! High Five to all the hard work they put in just to keep us happy...
