We use a PayPal debit card, never have any issues with the chip not working. We decided to hit the Allen Creek McDonald's drive through at around 6:30am to surprise our kids for breakfast. We place our order, and we're ignored for about 3 minutes before our order is read back to us and we're given our total. We pull forward to the first window and hand the older lady at the window our card. She runs the card and says it's declined so she rather rudely tells us to pull forward so she can help the people behind us. We do just that after asking her to run the card again. She doesn't, she just gives us the card back. Then we get to the second window and the young man asks us what we ordered and another lady comes up behind him yelling that the card was declined twice...so we got confused because we thought the first lady didn't run it the second time and the woman is still yelling that the order didn't go through and the card was declined, so I asked her to hold on because I couldn't talk to my husband over her yelling out the window and she says "Okay, BYE!" And slams the window on us.
So we pull around and go inside, and at this point I'm angry. We head inside and she comes around, and all nicely says, "I can try to run the card in here." So we replace our order and my husband starts telling her that her customer service needs work and at his job if he ever treated any customer under any circumstances that way he'd be fired. That's when her attitude comes back and she starts going off "If you're going to come in here acting like that, there are other McDonald's and I don't have to serve you! And if you want to tell my boss and get me fired go AHEAD!"
Once again our card is declined at our confusion, because we have the money, it should be working. At that point we are just embarrassed, hungry and it's way to early to make a scene. She tells us sometimes PayPal cards don't go through and she offered just to give us the food but we were exhausted from the exchange so we just apologized for the inconvenience, which we shouldn't have needed to and left.
It wasn't her fault the card was declined and it wasn't ours, the whole situation was so unnecessary in the first place. I don't know, maybe don't go to this McDonald's at 6am cause people there BE grumpy. Or maybe she was just hungover from...
Read moreIf I could deduct stars I would! Went to this location on 11/19/19, had the WORST experience I’ve ever had at ANY establishment. We order our food, pay at the first window, our $40 order, get up to the second window and the OUTRAGEOUSLY RUDE blonde hair lady with a nose ring opened the window, gave us our 4 BAGS of food, and closed the window, NEVER SAID NOT ONE WORD! We ordered 30 nuggets with our order (We had people over) we noticed that we got 3 sauces, we wait there for at least 5 minutes, she FINALLY opens the door, we ask for more sauces FOR OUR 30 NUGGETS, she ROLLS HER EYES and SLAMS THE WINDOW, still not one word. She came back to give us our sauce, we ask her if we can speak to her manager, she closes the window on us YET AGAIN, not a word. We knock on the window because at this point we just could not deal with this poor excuse for customer service any longer. She opens it up still not a word, ask to speak to her manager, her manager comes out doesn’t say a word we start telling her our concerns, she rolls her eyes and asks if we got our food. Mind you the whole time we are talking to this “manager” Brittney Murphy the other one is standing behind her LAUGHING. This “manager” does not have a care in the world, points to the sign on the window with higher up people’s phone number and said call them if you have a problem, I’m calling the cops if you don’t leave. Calling the cops? Really? FOR WHAT?? I worked at McDonald’s in California for years, I’ve never even heard of this kind of behavior. I plan to take this all the way. It was a THAT BAD PEOPLE! Avoid this McDonald’s at all costs, it’s...
