Went for a birthday lunch with the family for my birthday even though we have heard the negative reviews sense the opening of the new Grants Pass Red Robin, we have been to the Medford Red Robin and have always had a fantastic experience. Now that the Grants Pass Red Robin has been open for a few months we thought it had been long enough time for the Grants Pass Red Robin to get the newness rough patches worked out, so now excited about my birthday burger we walked through the front door.... and there was no hostesse to great us but when the hostess finally came up and greeted us she was very pleasant and seated us quickly so I ignored that there was maybe 5 tables with customers on a Saturday afternoon but this should have been a indication of what was to come..... We place our drink order and asked for lemon wedges with our water that did not get brought out with the water so we had to flag down a server to remind them we wanted lemon wedges... We placed our food order and waited for our order to come will we wait we get one refill on our Bottomless Lemonade's and wait and wait when our food dose come my birthday burger is cold and the Fry's they brought are cold too we tell the server and he promptly reordered my meal mind you it's my Birthday and that is why we are there so we wait again for my meal finally my meal gets to the table and it is nice and fresh but when I bite into the burger it is barely cooked I take a couple more bites and I just can't do it so now "I'm done!" My family finished there meals and we are ready to go we flag down the server and inform him of the uncooked meal and that we need our check he apologized for the uncooked meal and he takes the meal off the check and has me use my birthday burger coupon for one of my family's meal.... now mind you it's my birthday we only had one refill on our Bottomless Lemonade's and I get the privilege to use my birthday burger for one of my family's meal... needless to say we will be making the 30 mile trip to Medford from now on... "Grants Pass Red Robin needs to get it figured out" won't be going back...
Read moreI would give them ZERO stars if I could. For starters, saying that this place is "new" is no longer an excuse for the staff to mess up and be as slow as turtles. I always give people a second chance, and give them some slack when they're just starting out but now this is just a joke to go there.
My friend and I go in, just the two of us, we get seated. Mind you, it wasn't busy at all. Our waitress was not the friendliest. It took her about 20 minutes just to come over and get our drink order. We wait, and we wait, another 15-20 minutes go by until we get our drinks. She also didn't give us any waters in the meantime. She takes our food order. We wait long, again. I'd give this one about 40-45 minutes until we get our food. At this point, we were already upset and ready to just walk out. It gets worse.
The mayonnaise on my burger was disgustingly old. It had the most awful color to it. (Who knows if it was even mayonnaise? It's questionable.)
Whatever. All I could do is shake my head because I couldn't even get our servers attention. Not once did she check in with us to see how we were doing or if there was anything we needed. However, the hostess took better care of us than our own server. The hostess was the one who checked in, who got us water, made sure we were okay.
So now we're done, and I'm ready for the bill and a box. Our waitress walked by our table probably 10-15 times, stared right at us, saw that we were done, I even had my card out on the edge of the table. It took her 20 minutes just to bring us a bill. And it also took her forever to grab the bill, pay for it, and bring it back to us. Then we waited even longer for a freaking box that was just right around the corner from the table. My friend and I at this point agreed to not a leave a tip for her but give the hostess a tip instead since she was better serving us than our own waitress. That is the very FIRST time I have ever been so disappointed to not leave a tip for the server. I always tip, no matter how bad it is. But this was just awful. The waitress needs to step...
Read moreThis place has gone down hill since opening less than 2 years ago or so. We arrived at about 930pm. Hour and half before closing. We had a party of 12. Which would have tripled the current count of customers. They asked us to wait to get table together. After waiting 10 minutes I had to use the restroom. I walked to the back to the restrooms to find about 5-6 employees laughing and joking. When I was done in restroom they were still laughing and talking in the middle of the place. I asked if I could put a few tables together for our party of 12. They blew me off and said we will get it, they proceeded to go back to their conversation. I walked back to the host and asked her for assistance. She told me they had 5 other parties to sit first. In the waiting area there was NO ONE there. I walked around Red Robin and counted 6 people dining and the same 5-6 employees just stalking in middle of dining area. 10 minutes later we are seated. Another 10 minutes and we got asked if we wanted drinks. We ordered drinks and shortly after we ordered food. We received our drinks 10 minutes later which for an order of 12 is not bad. 15 to 20 minutes later we get our food and this would be the 2nd and last time we see our waitress till the bill. I had to go back to the bar to get us another round of drinks. One in our group asked for no cheese and she got no chicken. They brought everyone cold fries and we had to ask for more. Another man received no turkey on his. We never saw our receptionist till the bill came.
Go to Medford Red Robin way better service and worth the...
