All bad. Drive thru line was taking forever, so rather than contribute to the insanity, I went inside to order. After I ordered, I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. I come back out and figured I'd grab a couple salsas that were sitting out on the counter while I waited. Right after I did, I was yelled at by a heavy Hispanic lady working here (name unknown) saying that I wasn't allowed to grab my own salsa due to "covid regulations"! (No sign stated that I couldn't either) And to be clear, these salsas were in individual, disposable, tiny containers and I made sure to only touch only the containers what I was going to take.
Right after that, she than passively tells me that I could "take a seat or wait outside!" (Why would I sit inside if there's currently no dine-in allowed?) So I go outside, meanwhile, while I was waiting for my order, there was another Hispanic guy standing inside with no mask on chatting with the same lady in Spanish while waiting for his food.
Normally, I would care less, however, I just got yelled at for touching a disposable salsa container that was meant for taking with clean hands while wearing a stupid mask.
Few minutes later, food is done, I checked the order as habit, noticed there were no napkins, and the heavy Hispanic lady forgot the drinks, well, I guess that offended her again, so she passively asks, "Do you need something? All you gotta do ask!"
At this point I was fed up with her unjustifiably poor attitude and told her she's missing the point. It's not my job to make sure she gives me what I ordered and have to beg for napkins when,
A) You pretty much get them by default everywhere else.
B) I didn't have the option to grab some myself.
Well, of course she kept arguing trying to talk her way out of her "mistakes" and blaming her biased, hateful, attitude towards me on "covid". Should of just asked for a refund and walked out at that point.
So I tried to put what just happened behind me, and couldn't, since the almost $11, over salty, "Carne Asada" burrito was full of tough, cheap pieces, and I got a bone in my burrito.
So almost $25 for the whole order including tip (tipped before the hateful attitude) to get treated like I owe them something, and subpar Mexican food that would be a joke down south (This place only survives because they're really the only place in town and most people in GP don't know what real Mexican food tastes like, facts!). But, apparently, if you're Hispanic, and speak Spanish, you get preferential treatment here. She really had to stretch the truth about "covid" to use that as an excuse to be passively rude with every opportunity she got simply because she didn't like something about my appearance.
If the said heavy Hispanic lady was really concerned about "covid" she would of told the other maskless Hispanic guy she was BSing with in Spanish to step outside and made sure other employees there were properly wearing their masks, but, this clearly wasn't about "covid", it was about her being a discreet hater towards me, she made it personal...Especially when she was bad talking me in Spanish with other employees thinking I wouldn't understand as I was leaving.
Hope this place gets shut down like the Medford location did years ago (lookup why). The former business at this location (muffler shop) should of stayed. Won't...
Read moreHorrible experience. Family went there to order dinner last night. Order a burrito, guy throws it in a bag and throws the sauces in, which broke open and spill onto the burrito. Ask for a rewrap and they do, but they dont remove the original wrapping in doing so. The chilie relleno comes out cold, and gives us 4 tacos instead of 2 like we asked. Says the 2 tacos were complimentary because of what happened with the burrito. The tacos given were the Grande ones, and says all they have are just the grande tacos. Doesnt give or show price when we pay until it comes to signing the receipt, and when asked goes "the tacos were 7 dollars each." Looking at the price, being $73 dollars, the grande tacos were $7 a pop. Asked to speak with the manager, to which he replied "Sorry, he's not here." Left with the contents, turns out the "grande" ones only had meat and cheese, no lettuce and tomatoes in them and no beans or rice on the sides that it normally comes with to justify the $7. Burrito's double wrapping caused the first wrapping to fuse with the tortilla. The Chile Relleno was ice cold, and made two of us sick after eating it. By far the worst service we've experienced in this establishment. Will not be...
Read moreYou've been working 16 hours, sweaty and dirty and half asleep you barely keep one eye open on the road. It's been a long day in the gold mines. Your stomach hurts with every bump of the road, constantly reminding you how desperately hungry you are, something to take the taste of coal and sweat out of your mouth God willing.
Hmm "what is this?" you ask yourself. Oh it's a Taco Bell... Sure, "I don't like bells but I do like tacos" you mutter to yourself. As you skip the curb you make your way to the drive thru menu.
Your eyes too blurry to see anything, you give your best shot at ordering something from memory in Spanish: "Uhh one Kay Sah Dee Uh please." They mutter something that sounds like a white noise vinyl record.
You turn the wheel and get to the window. "That'll be 45 dollars Sir"...
You wake up in the hospital; diagnosis: terminal shock.
Guess I won't be at the family...
