American Burgers — Restaurant in Grantsville

Third time eating food at this establishment. I will never return. First time burger fries and drink. Burger was a absolute sloppy mess and didn't taste well. fries overly cooked. 2nd time Dine in with adult son, ordered pattymelt and fried mushrooms Son ordered burger and fries. The place was so full of flies we couldn't even eat with both hands, defending our food. Burger was a mess and absolutely no taste. Lettuce was brown, Bun soggy, fries were overly cooked. My patty melt was a meat patty over cooked and greasy on regular white bread toasted in assuming a toaster very dark. Yellow processed cheese and raw chopped onions. I had to reassemble it was a mess. That's not a patty melt. Mushrooms were OK. Son refuses to eat there again. I was foolish enough to give 3rd chance, drive through ordered hamburger and mushrooms. They were Out of mushrooms so opted for onion rings large order. Burger half decent in packing presentation the tomato tasted spoiled and it spoiled the Lettuce or both were spoiled moldy flavor and smell. Meat overly cooked no seasoning at all. Onion rings impossible to eat. Onions were not cooked but definitely in the fryer for long time. And only long skinny ring in each one, couldn't chew it was like the outside ring of an onion. Apparently no one knows how to prepare make or cook Onion rings. It's a process and usually is more than the outside ring of the Onion. I don't know if you use prepackaged food or not if so your suppliers are crooks. Everything went to the garbage even after I tried to salvage by removing the Lettuce and tomato. I went to American Burger because i like the food. I know it is going to be a long wait because they cook to order and I am willing to do that. This time however was different. I went through the drive through and I placed my order. There was no one behind me but three cars in front of me had placed their orders and were waiting. My order was simple. A cheeseburger, Regular fries and an order of mushrooms. I was told the he would have my total for me at the window. I thought nothing of it and pulled forward. I waited about twenty minutes for the other order in front of me to be finished and when i got to the window the attendant asked me if I had the Jalapeno Burger. I told him no and he asked what my order was. I told him and I WATCHED HIM ENTER IT IN THE COMPUTER. Then he lied to me and told me that the orders got mixed up. I then waited another 17 minutes for my food to be cooked. I got a burger that was hastily put together fries that were over cooked and mushrooms that were still stone cold in the middle. I am the General Manager of a fast food restaurant right here in Tooele. If one of my employees lied to a customer to save face from screwing up you can bet they would no longer be working for me. This is why you put the order in right when then customer orders it and you tell them the total when they are at the menu board. I will not be coming back to American Burger In...

This location really needs some intervention and we have had the same bad experience every time. The food, no matter what you order, whether it’s a burger or a sandwich all taste the same because the sandwiches are cooked right where the burgers are cooked and it all taste very greasy and dirty all the time. They never clean the grills there that we have seen. I went through the drive-in and waited 20 minutes to order with only two cars ahead of me and then when I got to the window, which was very dirty in itself, to pick up my food all they want to do is shove the the card reader in my face to request a tip. So they’re asking twice for tip because they have the tip jar sitting there and if you want to tip that’s fine you can, but making you request a tip from the card reader and go through that screen again . Get over requesting a tip from a drive-through window. You’ve lost alot of business and more to come. The card reader is so filthy that you don’t even want to touch it. Clean the drive-through window and clean the card reader! The kid behind the window was dirty and looks like he just got off of a dirt bike ride. Why does the manager allow this? He was very dirty!
