Hoss's Steak & Sea House — Restaurant in Granville Township

Unfortunately I have to give one star but I would like to give zero. I deliver for Doordash and have delivered over 60 orders. Last night I arrived at this particular restaurant and the food was not ready to be picked up which is no big deal. I sat and waited inside then in my car and back inside once again. It was over 20 minutes that I sat there...at one point I asked the hostess to check to see when the food would be done which she did. A lady came out from the kitchen and told me that she "changed the pickup time" which I never heard of and said she hoped it didn't affect my tip much. She then told me the chef forgot to put the customers steak on and that's what they were waiting for. Eventually I was able to leave but before of how long this delivery took me doordash is threatening to deactivate my account and not let me deliver anymore. I am a mom of 3 and I work hard for my money.. I count on this extra money to pay my bills. Now because of someone else's mistake I may have to pay the price. Ridiculous. I have never been late for a delivery, not even...

Had the dinner salad bar. Food was acceptable and readily available. Selection was decent. This location (Lewistown) is significantly better than the Chambersburg location. I cannot recommend the Chambersburg location in good conscience. My lack of enthusiasm is probably because I remember when Hoss's was GREAT. I remember the Chambersburg location had a much larger selection, and REAL bacon bits, instead of fakin' bacon. They had pickled eggs, and fresher produce then, and a cleaner, more welcoming atmosphere back in the day. Today's bar? It's pretty dismal, especially the desserts. And the ordered dinners were EXCEPTIONAL back then. Today it's barely "meh" quality. Back in the day, Hoss's was a place to impress a date. Today, dinners are about as impressive as work cafeteria food. I started this review wanting to try to highlight some positives about the Lewistown location in hopes Chambersburg would step up. I'm sharing this review based on my visit on to 2820. I have been to this restaurant before and never had any problem this time we went we ordered it took forever for the food when it came out I ended up sending mine back because there was facial hair in my food. The waitress was very pleasant no issues taking it back for me she said I'll let it sit here until your fresh one comes out so you know that I gave you a new one. I did however notice that some of the kitchen staff do not wear hair nets or Nets on their facial hair. I ended up taking a meal home I couldn't eat it due to what happened. I figured the manager would come over and apologize but it didn't happen, instead she took a little percentage off our bill I would have thought we would have had the meal taken off the bill for what happened. I will be trying this place again to see if things change but not anytime soon. I was very disappointed with most of the meal but the waitress was fantastic and I hope she doesn't lose her great personality working...
