I was a customer here on May 15th. Worst services and hospitality I had ever experienced at this facility. We had brought our guest to experience a great dinner, one I have been going since my grandmother was a waitress there for 15 years till she retired. We ordered our food, my significant other had onions in her meal which she never ordered and is deathly allergic too. She also finds a black beard hair in her food. Which after looking at the cooking staff with facial hair, they do not require or force their male staff with facial hair to wear face masks. We asked to get a new order. Never did I ever get an apology at this point. The only thing I reviewed was a waitress being extremely rude to a wronged customer and telling me "we are not going to cause a scene just because you had a bad experience." I thought my jaw fell off at this point but I bit my tongue. After they bring the food out my guest, who I was boasting too about this place, finds another facial hair in their food. I called over another waitress and I asked "doesn't your cooks need to wear masks because they aren't and this is the second time this has happened today." Again never received an apology and again was told by a waitress, who wasn't even my waitress that, "just because you had a bad experience doesn't mean we need to cause a scene." Never have I ever received this type of manor or service at this FAMILY RESTARAUNT. We decided not to eat anything else, just pay and leave this unprofessional, unempathetic place. It's a terrible shame that being a community member and ongoing customer that I received this but lesson learned: don't expect an aplogy just because I was receivin inadequate service. Sorry for bothering your family restraunt I'll take my business else where next time so I don't bother...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy boyfriend took me here for the first time this morning, for a nice breakfast before he went on a long trip. We had a low key time restraint, but it was reasonable.
We walked in and were sort of greeted by the host, who seated us, asked if we wanted coffee (we passed) and plunked two waters down and went back to her podium. It was obvious she didnāt want to be working, but I also work in restaurants, so I can see where she is coming from. However, itās important that the guests donāt read that from your presentation.
We waited for 10-15 minutes before having any other staff approach the table. This may seem trivial, but we were evidently waiting, looking around and ready. Many passed by, but we were ignored. Finally, a server, who weād seen pass by multiple times to other tables (who were now eating), passed by with the comment of heād be right with us. By this time, we had come to the conclusion that we didnāt have time to now order, wait for the delivery, eat and leave on time.
A table shouldnāt have to wait more than 1-5 minutes for a server or staff to approach the table and at least introduce themselves/specials/ask for order/announce that they would be right with them.
Iāve heard great things about the hotel and restaurant, but it was disappointing to be forgotten about/ignored. It couldāve been the host not communicating to the server, or the server forgetting about the table. I have experienced both in my restaurant career. However, it was not busy, as it is a simple Thursday morning. Yes, we couldāve physically gone up to the host and asked if we had a server, but that isnāt our duty...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI arrived here at 5:50 pm on a Tuesday and the place was almost empty. After waiting almost 5 minās for the hostess to cash out two other people, I was finally seated in a booth and given a menu and she took my drink order.
The hostess brought me my drink and after waiting almost 10 minās I had to ask if I had a server. She came over shortly after that and took my order. I went with the āHot and Heartyā open faced turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes, gravy and a cup of soup.
The soup I went with was the chicken dumpling and you can totally tell it is homemade. There are tons of dumplings and chicken. You could easily make this your dinner; it was that filling. I felt it was lacking in some flavor, but I think the clientele here probably dictates rather bland food.
After another few minutes, she brought me my dinner and it was large. There was also a bread stick on my plate, which I thought was a little different, considering there were two full slices of bread under all the turkey.
The turkey had grill marks on it, to warm it up, and there was a lot of meat on the plate, all smothered in turkey gravy. The mashed potatoes had a good flavor and were creamy. The gravy was a little bland, but edible.
Then when it came to pay my bill, I stood by the cash register for another 5 minās waiting for someone to come over and cash me out. Several servers stared right at me, but would not come over to assist me.
This is the second time I have been here, I was much earlier in the evening last time, so maybe because it was later, the service was lacking. Iām not sure that I...
