I went in on a Friday night and there were a bunch of teenagers from the nearby high school there after the football game. They were a little obnoxious, but the staff that I encountered tried to be fairly friendly.
2 stars because they somehow forgot my chips and salad dressing for the salad I bought. I've been ordering from there for 2 years now but this was the 1st time I've ever gone inside, because the drive-thru line was so long. It seems like if I don't pay extra special attention to the contents in my bag, they forget one or the other or both each & every time. I did not bother to even call them back about this time. The salad was great but would've been superb if I could've just got the Chipotle ranch dressing & chips I also paid for without having to remind someone to do their job by slowing down & paying attention to detail.
The cashier although not impolite gave me the impression that they don't receive very many African-Americans inside of their establishment. I was wearing slacks & a button down shirt, but he made me feel like I was making him uncomfortable with my mere presence. As well as a couple of glances from other staff behind the counter as well customers & the on duty cop made me feel like I didn't belong there. As if my money was somehow less appreciated.
"IF" I patronize this establishment in particular in the future, I won't go inside & I'll have to remember to check my bag each & every time. Can't say that I feel welcomed...
Read moreWe have gone to this skyline for probably ten years. Excellent food, great waitresses very friendly all in all. I guess it's been sold recently because the food is absolutely terrible. If I wanted a cheese and mustard sandwich I would have ordered one. If you can't afford to put chili on the coney why did you buy the restaurant. 3, 4, 5, ways are dry. I will not ever step foot back in this skyline. With time I'm sure other long time customers will get fed up also and leave. This is not just an isolated incident. It's every time we go in. Also maybe you should think about controlling the customers a little. I never knew of any place that let's the customers act as they please. Seriously , you have to ask for crackers because of the cost. Again , if you can't afford the restaurant dont buy it. How ridiculous! I don't remember going to a steak house and having to ask for ketchup to use. I believe that would be include in the already inflated prices. Good luck with your endeavor but we will...
Read moreLove Skyline! Skyline has the BEST Cincinnati chili of any of the restaurants that offer this fantastic chili. There is nothing that can compare to this chili, not even other chili places that call their chili Cincinnati style. I have lived in a part of the country that doesn't have a Skyline restaurant so whenever I would visit family in White Oak this place is a must and often a must several time per visit. I've recently moved to Indianapolis and there just happens to be a few Skyline restaurants around so I can get it fairly easily now. I have found that the restaurants that aren't in Cincinnati have chili that seems to be much thinner. The taste is also slightly bland as well, leading me to wonder if they are adding water when water isn't needed. I do sometimes buy the skyline in the can from the local Kroger and make my own 4 ways and cheese coneys. This location is one of the cleanest I've ever been in and...
