This is an Asian fusion restaurant across from Krogerās on Northbend. They have Thai, Chinese, hibachi and sushi. They are located in a building in which a pizza restaurant used to be. It is run by Dao Yee, who owns Lemongrass and Wild Ginger on the east side of Cincinnati, both of which we have been to and liked. This new restaurant opened January 5, 2018. We got carry out the same day an article appeared in the Cincinnati Enquirer newspaper and the place was VERY busy about 2:30 pm. Most entrees, which come with brown or white rice, are in the $8-10 range. My husband did not call ahead but walked in and ordered Pad Thai with crispy tofu and a sir-fry broccoli with soft tofu. He waited about 15 min for his order. He chose these two entrees because he wanted to see how they cooked tofu and whether the tofu in the two dishes was different. It was (which is not always the case at other Asian restaurants where we have eaten locally.) The Pad Thai had sugar in it but the dish was far less sweet than the way many restaurants make it in South West Ohio. The noodles had texture and were not soggy. The tofu was browned and had a nice crust on it. The stir fried broccoli was al dente and bright green. It was not at all sweet. We asked for a hotness of 10/10. Many places in Cincinnati do not actually give unknown customers a hot dish. They assume many Cincinnatians will not tolerate spicy food, despite requesting it, so they down grade heat requests to (at best) 4-5 out of 10. Asian Spice Bistro gave us the heat we desired and they are to commended for this. They have a few tables (maybe ten?) They do a lot of carry out. They also use Uber Eats after 4:30 pm. Weāre really happy they opened...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered Curry from here to try something different, and they served me curry in a clamshell to go container.. with rice in the same container. So a big pile of rice and a big pile of potatoes carrots and onions with three pieces of shrimp. So either a they didn't give me any curry in my Curry. Or half of it spilled out in the bag and the other half absorbed into the rice.. either way I got no sauce...and what is more appalling is the lady who got rude with me on the phone when I called and asked if I could come back and get sauce. It's kind of like the definition of what I ordered: curry- a dish composed with a sauce or gravy seasoned with a mixture of ground spices! I was extremely thrilled to discover this place 2 weeks ago and have been there eight different times and raving to all of my friends and family about how good it is. But now I will tell everybody that the owner is rude, they do not value your business, and no matter what you do do not order the lunch Curry. I cannot imagine anybody ever receiving this and being happy with it! Google not let me share pictures with my review now? A picture is worth a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe came into this establishment today for the first time with a young child to have dinner, and as soon as we came in there was no greeting. We went up to the counter because again we donāt know what to do as weāve never been. The hostess never offered a menu, never asked if we were dining in or carrying out. We proceeded to order all while the hostess had a look on her face that she was not in the mood. We sat ourselves and put the baby in the high chair. Asked for water and she brought it to us. Waited for our food. It came out bagged and we told the hostess that we clearly were wanting to dine in as we sat and had our child seated? She said āpeople who want to sit in usually sit down and we come to themā. We said well we clearly have never been here before and you never took any opportunities to speak to the back and tell them we were dining in, or even bother to ask. She never offered to take the food back to be re served to us on a tray or anything. We got probably half the usually portion because it was to go as well. Service was horrible. Food was good but wonāt be back...
