The place that I order from all the time, was closed today, so I gave this place a try. I would have been better off just ordering Domino's. I ordered 4 pizzas and none of the pictures of their special pizzas on the website, are accurate representations of what you get, plus there was something wrong with all 4.
A margarita pizza, is a pizza with red sauce, FRESH mozzarella cheese, SLICED tomatoes, and usually a sprinkling of fresh basil after baking, otherwise the leaves blacken. That's how the pizza is pictured online, but not only was there no sauce, but the pizza had melted, shredded mozzarella, DICED tomatoes, and the basil was baked along with the pizza. It also had red onions, which I've never had on a margarita pizza, because they just don't come with it. This was my wife's pizza, and it was her birthday, so this was fairly insulting overall.
I ordered a simple pepperoni and mushroom pizza. Apparently at this joint, if you want sauce, you have to order sauce as a topping or something, because this one too had no sauce. I absolutely HATE sausage, and 99.9% of places, a pepperoni and mushroom pizza would be just that, but at this place, it apparently gets crumbled Italian sausage. After that, they used canned mushrooms, which is both cheap and lazy. Then the care at which they looked forcefully thrown onto the pizza, but with horrible aim.
Next up, they list a cheese lovers pizza, which online appears to be just mozzarella and cheddar; you know, normal pizza cheese options. It doesn't say anything about ricotta cheese, but it has it on there. I ordered two, one each for my daughters. They each like cheese pizzas and exactly one topping. One likes black olives and one likes sausage. Now, imagine being a kid who has never had ricotta cheese... Then imagine being a father having to try to explain what it is and why it's on there; not an easy thing to do, times two.
I feel bad for my family, that I chose this dump. I can't understand the amount of positive reviews. I don't think they're legit Italian, because the dude that delivered it looked and sounded Albanian. Albania is almost 14 hours from Italy by car, and the Balkans are not at all known for pizza. Albania is more in line with Serbia an d Croatia, in terms of more Slavic food. I have never in my 47 years, heard anyone say, "let's go get some Albanian, Serbian, or Croatian pizza". Stick with kebabs, old world sausages, and vinegar style coleslaw. When you add on to the incorrectly and horribly prepared pizzas, the fact that the order was late, and the delivery guy could not follow the instructions to deliver to my rear door, or to just set it down and leave it, there is not one positive thing that I can say about Nini's pizza.
Don’t order from this place if you're a pizzs lover, because you may end up hating pizza after getting food from here.
To add to this, an hour later, it forcefully emptied my bowels, in a projectile fashion, which has never, in 47 years of life happened to me after eating pizza. I repeat, just don't do it.
Next day..... To address some things, first, I stated by plane, when the timing was by car, so I was wrong there. Having had lots of Serbian and Croatian friends, and being Polish, I STILL have not ever heard anyone say, "let's go get some Albanian, Serbian or Croatian pizza", like never, ever, ever. It's like going to one of those dumps like El Beso for Mexican, only to find out it's owned by that corrupt Greek family who owns Omega. Kebabs, old world smoked sausages, flat breads, vinegar coleslaw sure, not pizza. While we're at it, I have a call blocking app on my phone, that doesn't allow non-contacts through; it DOES however allow voicemails. Who the F orders pizza without any kind of sauce, in Milwaukee? No one. At any given pizza joint, you have generally traditional red tomato sauce, then if they're not lazy, you may get a white alfredo sauce, possibly a pesto sauce, and for those that like it, BBQ sauce for like a BBQ chicken pizza.
Make it right? How? Re-fire? ...
Read moreBreaded mushrooms were good. Spaghetti and chicken Alfredo were ok. Would like to try the pizza one day but honestly the delivery guy was so rude we may reconsider. First called us when he got to our apartment and more or less asked if he had to bring it up to us. We’re on the third floor in a building with an elevator. Not like we expected him to climb three flights of stairs?! Then when he delivered the food and my daughter said thank you he had the nerve to say “No tip for me?”. My daughter replied that the tip was put on the credit card at the time of the order. He then proceeded to stand there, take out the receipt and make sure there was a tip on there! I know times are tough but tips are earned not required. We always tip well but in this case I wish we wouldn’t have pretipped because I probably wouldn’t have...
