So went there with my fiancé's family to have breakfast. My fiancé and I both got the steak skillets, his parents got the western omelet and denver omelet, and his grandparents got the silver dollar pancakes and eggs each. First and foremost, our waiter seemed very new and was not handling the pressure of a busy restaurant. His hands were shaky, he forgot to ask how we would like our eggs, failed to bring water or coffee refills, failed to bring creamer to our table (which should already be out) and took an extensive amount of time making his way to us to get our orders or give back our cards. The reason I am giving him the benefit of the doubt cause this is more or less a lack of training which is at fault of management and not him. Secondly, the food was just down right uphauling. My dish was under cooked, under seasoned, and I was missing my toast. Keep in mind, I am 7 months pregnant so I don't exactly see eating a pretty much raw egg as a smart choice for my diet. My fiancé's food was also under cooked and under seasoned, but he at least got his toast that was over toasted and still somehow soggy. His parents omelets, one was missing the cheese they had ordered with their omelet and neither one had thoroughly cooked hash browns. Looks like they heated the hash browns enough to pass them off as edible. The mushrooms were also very rubbery and this restaurant managed to make eggs chewy. His grandparents' food was even worse than ours. The pancakes were like hockey pucks that you needed a steak knife to cut, their eggs were drier than the Sahara desert, and the bacon was almost like charcoal. Finally, we had mentioned these concerns to the waiter multiple times, but were basically given an excuse up "I will speak with the kitchen" or "Other than that, is there anything else I can get you?". Essentially, these concerns were not taken into consideration and were basically shrugged off. We still paid full price for I meals even though we were all missing something or were not satisfied with our meals, we were not offered anything to help make our experience better and we were sadly disappointed all together with our experience to the point where we do not want to come back. At the end of the day, we still tipped the waiter $10 in total because we understand that tips are mainly where their income comes from and we simply left it at that. Now I know this extensive review isn't going to change my experience in any way since it is done and over with, but I hope it is informative for someone looking to dine here. Warning to the wise, go to this restaurant when it isn't busy. You might actually get thoroughly cooked food and not a stomach ache or possible...
Read moreSave yourself...it's too late for us!! We decided to have breakfast for dinner and try a new place. Service and food were equally bad. In spite of the restaurant being almost empty (five or six tables filled before we arrived), it took a waitress over 5 minutes to come to our table. We ordered coffee, a mushroom and cheese omelet with hash browns and a pancake substituted for the toast, and a Home Run breakfast. The waitress asked my husband how he wanted the two eggs cooked and what kind of toast he wanted with his Home Run meal. The coffee tasted old and burnt. When the meals were served the omelet was awful. Inedible. The hash browns were dry, but with a lot of salt and pepper tasted okay. And whatever they try to pass off as butter, . . . isn't. When the waitress came to ask if we wanted more coffee (she didn't bother to ask about our food), I let her know that the omelet was terrible and that I couldn't eat it. The mushrooms in it (that came from a can) were awful tasting. And really, they charge extra for a slice of generic cheese slices - not even Kraft - melted on top? Seriously? I asked her name, since she never introduced herself, and she told us Mary. A short while later, a different waitress came to our table to say she was our server and ask if we needed anything. We were surprised because at first we couldn't get any waitress, now we had two!! We let the second waitress know that "Mary" had taken our order and served our food. She eventually figured out that "Mary" was CiCi, and we figured out "Mary" was a lying little coward. The second waitress spoke to the 'manager' about the fact that my food and our entire experience was terrible and all he would let her do was to replace my meal with something else. Yeah, like I want to eat something the cooks spit in out of spite. Nope. We double checked the bill - which was, of course, wrong, and paid the check with some new lying little coward at the register and left. We never spoke with the 'manager' even though he had been at the register the entire time we were there, because as soon as we went up to pay, he noticed he had to do something. . . IDK pick his nose . . . in the back of the restaurant. The only reason we gave one star was 1) you can't leave none and 2) the eggs on the Home Run meal were cooked correctly. Yayyy...they got one...
Read moreCustomer service for the most part was great! We had two waitresses who went out of their way to ensure we had the best service for our family of three on a Saturday morning. I am giving two stars for the two wonderful young ladies who worked so hard on such a busy shift!
However, the manager kept running around bossing bussers and waiters to do certain tasks in front of customers, all throughout the restaurant! He was loud, rude, impatient, and inconsiderate to diners just feet away from him! Additionally, the food was just terrible, and we will never reccomend this joint to anyone.
My husband ordered the 10 oz Bone In New York Strip Steak for $18.99. It was a complete waste of money—the first time he could not finish a steak. It was bland and the poorest quality steak known to mankind. For $19, we were expecting something edible, at least! I ordered the Chicken Italiano for $8.99. When it came out, obviously the chicken was previously frozen, the croissant looked like someone smushed it with all their might, and the sandwich itself had been sitting out because the whole thing was cold, and the mozzerella that should have melted, just slid right off. Our daughter ordered the Spaghetti for $5.99, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert for $2.99. Despite how terrible the food was, this was the nail to the coffin: our daughter was eating her ice cream, while we had all of our food being packed to go. The same manager as mentioned earlier came by, scooped her plate for the ice cream without* asking, and walked away!
(We stopped by The Forum as a quick convenience and were not able to send every item back to the kitchen.)
It is such a shame this restaurant has such repulsive food and ill-mannered management, when they could thrive with all of the loyal families who dine there so often. Please let me know when these issues get solved, my family and I would love to experience...
