My husband and I have been here a few times and the beer is excellent. We like to hop around to different breweries and it's a a nice place to stop when taking a ride out that way. However, we always felt the service was a little lackluster and unfriendly, but maybe that's part of the laid-back vibe or something.

Last week we decided to meet up with some acquaintances in town and went out as a group of 6. To be efficient, I waited at the bar before everyone else got there and put our name in.... as I was walking up to the hostess station she kinda ducked me without saying anything and went back to the kitchen. Huh. I eventually got our name in, corralled our group at the bar, and waited for our table. Couple bigger guys in the group and we were trying to stay out of the way but the servers maneuvering around us were straight up snappy and impolite. Bartenders are aloof, more often talking to one another than guests, never smile, you'd think they'd be enthusiastic about the beers they're serving. Table service was sporadic, sometimes our server was juggling the phone / being interrupted / not giving us full attention, so we ended up being there much longer than necessary.

Also, the food was bad. Like, really bad, where I was wondering if there was a change in the kitchen staff recently....? This is really disappointing because they tout themselves as a bastion of local fare, but it's just poorly executed or bland. We've had some appetizers and the cheese boards on previous visits and they were ok, or at least interesting. My friend had the mac n cheese with bacon and barely ate any. Husband ordered some sort of noodle dish and didn't like his meal either. But the worst was my "brisket" tacos which were AWFUL. The brisket was basically a couple of leathery, flavorless rectangles of overcooked beef. It was practically jerky.

Eventually I just wanted to get us out of there because the longer we sat drinking beer and waiting for attention (And I admit: a couple of guys in the group were getting a little impatient / loud) the worse it was getting. Embarrassing, since we'd invited these people here on our recommendation. Just a bad experience all around.

The beer is always great though. They win back one...

We were a party of 10 on probably the busiest day of the year for this pub. After we split our party into 4 + 6, we were seated on two separate tables. The wait staff looked pretty exhausted at the end of the busiest day of the year, yet they mustered enough energy and good humor to serve us with enthusiasm. The beers (I ordered a sampler) were mostly excellent (with a sampler there's a pretty good chance that you won't like something). The food was outstanding! All 10 of us left with full bellies of excellent libations and food.

The only reason I don't give these guys 5 stars is because we had called ahead to seat our party...when we called, they said there's no wait so they couldn't put us on a seating list. Of course, when we got there after 15 minutes there was a wait! Ha! Catch 22! Got you! So, at that time we were told that it would take 10-15 minutes for all of us to be seated. Our first party of 4 was seated after 45 minutes and it was an hour before all of us were seated. Ummm, you guys are in the hospitality business and should have better knowledge of the situation and good information for your customers. When we arrived, had we been told that it would be 45 minutes - 1 hour for all of us to be seated we may have made other...

The food is decent, limited menu, more organic choices would be nice. The ambiance the staff creates has an edge of pretentiousness. The bartender/dishwasher named Grey shoots dirty looks, stood at the table & stared at us, he had another staff members tell us not to come back when I said goodbye to him, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL conduct that turns customers away. Because he doesn't like me personally he has the entire staff target us. Makes me wonder if they'd stoop so low as to mess with my food (like I've seen in movies) - it wouldn't surprise me after what I've experienced the last 3 times I've been there, especially yesterday. For a place that touts inclusivity, community, love & acceptance it has failed miserably by allowing the personal opinion of one staff member to taint an entire establishment's workforce to create a bad experience & then blame it on the patron & then tell them not to come back. Do the owners know? And yes - all this is because I won a case in court he was involved in... tsk tsk tsk - the staff needs retraining on...

Came for the beer, but the food was the real draw in the end. Parking is sketchy, but there is a public lot around the corner. Can't say much for their rotating selection, but I would love to stop by again to see what they offer. Those on tap were excellent especially the oatmeal stout. Food was just amazing and compliments the drinks so well. The squash-jalapeno quesadillas were so much better than I expected. Only downside is that I'd have to call the waiter over frequently for either more food or more drink.

Edit/update: IF ONLY The People's Pint could expand an build an empire! Freshly poured beer with locally sourced meals at great prices. Absolutely worth the trip on Route 2! Had so much fun here with the staff and a full meal. The options of food were terrific and I love the local sourcing. My whole table ordered beers, burgers, and desserts. Disappointed so much food was out on a Sunday night, but we'll be back!

Was there recently and was pleased that the server wore a mask the entire time. I have never tried the Salvadoran dish and was so happy that I did. Flavorful and cooked perfectly. Love this place. Always able to get seated and serviced quickly and kindly. Ordered hot tea and the mug was way too small but that is only a small suggestion for improvement.
