Bamboo Grill — Restaurant in Greensboro

Bamboo Grill came highly recommended so I was excited to finally try it tonight and I was very disappointed. We placed our order - I had the hibachi shrimp I asked for it with no carrots and no zucchini, my sister ordered hibachi chicken and I ordered wings & lo mein for my daughter. While placing the order the guy said it would be 15 minutes on the wings and we were okay with waiting so we wait. They guy brought out the egg rolls first just moments after we placed our order. The chicken wings came out next (which we were told would take the longest) about 5 minutes after the wings the noodles came out but neither of the hibachi meals came. After sitting patiently and waiting for about 10 more minutes we asked about the rest of the order. The guy says it'll be up in one minute. We wait another close to 10 minutes and finally our food comes out but guess what its not warm. My food was cool like it had just been sitting. The lady came and asked how everything was and I told her my food was not warm she looks at me and says yes it is. I said ma'am I've tasted and touched it and its not warm. She kept telling me it was warm so finally I just told her it was fine and she started speaking to our waiter buti couldn't understand what they were saying to each other. I asked the guy for a box. I brought my food home and heated if up. The food was pretty good but I would've preferred for it to be warm at the what where I ordered, waited and paid for it. And before someone says something stupid like I just didn't want to pay for it that's not at all the case. . I had no problem paying for it and did so. I didn't even ask for a discount or anything I was just extremely disappointed and will probably never go back to this establishment that I've heard such great things about. My first impression...

Since I moved to the opposite side of town two years ago, I rarely have the opportunity to get food from here, because I’m not making a 20 min (one way) trip there lol. However, since I was on this side of town today, I decided to stop by and grab me some lunch.

Around 1:55 PM on a Friday afternoon, I called and placed an order for pick up. I got their $8.55 lunch special which includes one or two meats and rice. The meats that I chose was black pepper chicken and honey chicken. This is what I always get. I chose steamed rice to go with it. I was told it would be 15 minutes. The price of the lunch special used to be $6.95, which is what I thought it was going to be per a photo I saw. After looking back, it was a photo from 4 years ago, lol.

I arrived around 2pm and sat in my car for 5 minutes before going inside. In the window, they have a board with their daily specials. There is a sign on the door stating they are closed every Tuesday. This has been in effect since Sept. 7, 2021. I noticed a couple parties sitting in the dining area when I walked in. I was promptly greeted. My food was already ready and check out was smooth. Staff was friendly. I had to go pick my son up, so I ate in the car. The food was delicious, as to be expected. They haven’t let me down yet! I can’t wait to come back, and hopefully it won’t be another year!

Side Note: There is a decent sized area that’s empty in front of their location. I’m not sure if it’s theirs or not, but it would be a great place to add some...

UPDATE - I would like to applaud this restaurant for listening to their customers reviews. I go there frequently and I'm watching it GROW! I love this place! I'm now a regular eat in AND take out diner! Where I used to have bad luck with take out, now it's very fresh and beautiful every time! I added the final star to this review. I would like to say that every person working in this establishment always strives to please their customers. They are very kind and do everything that they can to make your experience one you will enjoy and return to time after time. If you're looking for a constantly improving Chinese dining experience in Greensboro, NC, this IS the place to go. Dining in, even the ambiance is pleasurable and now take out is incredible! Thanks to everyone there who makes my busy life easy when I can't drag myself into my own kitchen to cook haha!

I go there all of the time. The service is always great and the food is too. I would mention that when I take out at night, the food is not that great. Seems they may be giving left overs from some other day or old food from the day. It's just not fresh if it's take out. But eating in is always a...
