My wife and I consider ourselves connoisseurs of Italian cuisine. Having traveled extensively throughout Italy and been raised in homes steeped in authentic Italian cooking traditions, we have high standards. So, when we say we were blown away by Times Square Pizzeria & Italian Eatery, it truly means something.
This charming, family-owned restaurant, run by a delightful Italian couple (Mario & Rosa), is a revelation. Rosa sauces are from scratch, and the quality shines through every bite. The flavors are simply exceptional, rivaling some of the best Italian food we've experienced anywhere.
We haven't yet had the pleasure of trying their pizza, but even a glance tells you it's made with care and looks absolutely mouthwatering.
What truly surprised us was the incredible quality of the food juxtaposed with the unassuming, comfortable decor. Don't let the lack of fancy frills fool you ā the restaurant is impeccably clean, and the owners' warm, welcoming personalities create a truly special atmosphere. Their genuine passion for their food and customers is evident. And to top it all off, the prices are incredibly reasonable.
They are a bit off the beaten path, but believe me, it's worth the trip. This is authentic Italian cuisine made with love, and it's a treasure.
We're already dreaming of our next visit, and I can't wait for an opportunity to have them cater an event. They'll be my first and only call. If you're looking for a truly genuine Italian dining experience, look no further than Times Square Pizzeria & Italian Eatery. You won't be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell, there were top 3 pizza places in town until today. I ordered pizza and wings and they didn't taste like Times Square usually does. The wings were too salty for me and K (he likes salt more than I do) and the pizza was OFF. Like maybe the cheese was old, the crust didn't crunch right... just off. I called the manager yelled at me and said I was wrong bc no one else complained š³. Now everyone is entitled to a bad day by own the issue and make it better. My only option was for him to remake today, but I'm already over it and don't want that today. I asked if he can do it another day he said no, I need to bring the food back today. Never an apology, sorry it was not right....I even said "I feel like you're mad at me bc my food wasn't good" I drove back over there delivered their pizza and wings and he didn't even have the professionalism to get me and address it with me.
Anyway...I spent $30 including a tip and I have to show for it is a gallon of sweet tea and a pizza shop that I can't patronize anymore AND I STILL GOTTA GO FIND...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTonight was my first night ordering here or eating the food. I placed an online order for pick up. I ordered Baked Ziti and Baked Spaghetti with extra sauce for me and my husband. When we got it back to the house the baked spaghetti did not have extra sauce but they were fast and the to go order was ready on time. Service seemed fine and pleasant enough. However, our food was soooooo salty that it tasted like the food was made with ocean water. I have never tasted baked ziti or baked spaghetti with this amount of salt in it. Iām sitting here typing this realizing my food is basically inedible. I do not know how this place gets such rave reviews when my very first attempt at ordering here was complete trash for the price. $40 for these two dinners and neither are edible. We arenāt even that picky when it comes to take out. Maybe it was an off night, maybe someone poured too much salt on noodles or sauce but this needs to be corrected. I sure wonāt be coming back. Elizabethās has much better pasta and worth the extra drive and the...
