Visiting from out of State, We’d heard this was a nice place for Seafood. I got the fried catfish, sweet potatoes, mac & cheese and fried okra. I also got carrot cake for dessert. The catfish was fried OK the size of the fillets were all right… Not too small or too big (although I would not have minded if they were bigger.) the macaroni and cheese is OK just decent kind of like some Kraft with maybe some added natural cheese. The fried okra was like anyone else’s okra probably from a bag that had been fried in fresh grease. The sweet potatoes were very bland they lacked flavor sugar, butter, cinnamon, and everything else. The carrot cake was delicious. This also seemed like it probably came from another place as it was not freshly baked. The highlight of the experience was the gentleman who took my order, Khari. He is the sole reason I gave this restaurant four stars instead of the three they deserve.

We had a party of 7 and asked to split the check. We ordered 6 flounder and shrimp Saturday specials for $8.99 each and one person ordered a side of yams only. It was a sweet potato, peeled and dumped into a small bowl without seasoning... just a baked sweet potato. The flounder was too fishy; three people ate it (the others took it to go) and we had to stop on the 3hr ride home because two of them got sick! The shrimp, fried okra and hushpuppies were good. This location doesn't give free hushpuppies (they are 3 for $0.99). The service was horrible. We had to flag down anyone walking by and ask for items several times. We left 12% gratuity on the table and was still billed 15% on our checks! We're not from the area and was hoping to eat at Stephanie's but it was closed... we'll be back to Greensboro but not to this restaurant.

This is a ridiculous amount of food for $20. And all fresh with this broiled platter. Except the hush puppies and crab. The white fish in the middle with no skin, shrimp, then scallops (in that order were the best). Sharply downhill from there the skin on fish to the right (ok), the skin on fish to the left (no way), stuffed crab (disgusting). No worries. Tons of food here. Baked potato with butter and real sour cream was perfect. Cole slaw was ok. Salad was very good, with what tasted like homemade ranch dressing. The hush puppies were shaped like donuts and were very fluffy, not hard. That was nice. Everyone I saw eating, was really enjoying it, far as I can tell. What a deal. I am completely stuffed!

My husband and I went to Roza Mayflower Seafood Restaurant last night! I was so excited because we just moved back to Greensboro and I used to go there all the time when I was in college at A&T! So, I noticed that it was empty for a Friday night but we went on in. Service was ok until our food came out. I asked the waitress about the veins in the shrimp and why are the plates so small. I had a handful of shrimp and my flounder was a baby flounder. We were laughing because it looked like we ordered kid meals. She said she would go get the manager. The manager came out and I asked him about the nasty looking shrimp and the portion size to see if it was right. He immediately got defensive and was extremely rude. He told me that is all the food you will get tonight, tomorrow or next week and if I don't like how the food looks, leave now! I was so shocked! So as I proceeded to get up from the table, he kept saying things like, "Don't ever come back! You not wanted here, you people are not welcome here anyway! We are African American and my husband did not say anything until he started provoking me with those nasty phrases and standing there as if he was gonna hit me. When my husband stated to him not to talk to my wife like that, the manager then says, "What you gonna do, you want to hit me?" Being that I know my husband, I knew it was about to be a mess so I quickly took my husband's hand and said don't look back, lets just leave. We are educated with good jobs and I have no time for the police to have to come behind some ignorant manager and perhaps our careers be in question, when all we was trying to do is enjoy a good meal! I do plan on going to the news channel with this and calling the NAACP and asking if there is anyway we can get this establishment called out for the manager's racial remarks. If you are African American, you are not wanted at Roza Mayflower Seafood Restaurant on Randleman Road to dine! If you talk to your customers that way, what is he saying to his staff that is African American! The manager wants your money, but doesn't care for as a person at all. The funny thing is, when I looked around, that was the majority of the people that was in there! What a horrible experience and I will never return to that...

Mayflower has decent affordable fish and chips in this area Once I entered the establishment I was instantly greate by a hostess with a welcoming smile. We were seated in a cozy corner booth. After only a few seconds our waitress arrived who appeared also to be very friendly and courteous. She introduced herself and swiftly got our drink orders and returned with a basket of hushpuppies that were hot and delicious.

Once she returned with our drinks she asked if we were ready to order. She was very knowledgable about which selections were in season and was very discriptive on the taste and texture of all the items I inquired about prior to placing my order. These tools made it very convienant to make a selection and I instantly placed the orders.

I decided to go with the flounder and oysters with a baked potato and for my son I ordered chicken nuggets with french fries I substituted green beans for the applesauce that came automatically with his kids meal he is not a fan of applesauce.

Our food arrived about 15 minutes later. The overall apperance of the food was acceptable all of the fried selections were covered with golden brown crusts.I initially examined my sons plate I was pleased to find his fries were fresh and hot,the nuggets on the other hand were rock hard and his green beans were not warm at all and tasted to be out of the can.Moving on to my entree the flounder was very light in texture and tasted very fresh but the oysters were very miniture as if the cook took 2 whole oysters and cut them into pieces my baked potato was very small but tasted fine.

Our waitress was very attentive she checked on us very frequently.Once I asked for the check I noticed I was charged $1.79 extra for the substitution I made even though I explained that my son does not eat applesauce. However I did not protest the additional fee.Do to our waitresses sweet nature and dedication. My overall experience was enjoyable I would return to Mayflower in the future but I would probally avoid ordering the oysters as well as...

This was my first time returning to Mayflower in at least a year. I decided to do take out and the employee who served me was named Khari. Although I enjoy eating good food, I especially appreciate it when a worker is not only professional and knowledgeable but provides good customer service as well. Sometimes, in the food service industry, you get one or the other, but not both. I will gladly drive past a restaurant that has poor customer service, no matter how tasty their food dishes are! But this was not the case at Roza's Mayflower Seafood Restaurant @ 2631 Randleman Road in Greensboro, NC! Khari was engaging and personable. When I had questions about what I should order, he began sharing what he liked about the food to help me decide. And that day, being the last person in line waiting to order, Khari asked, "How's your day so far?" To me, that was the icing on the cake! Looking at our younger generation, this young man surprisingly helped restore something that I thought was a dwindling commodity, "Customer Service", especially among the younger people who are presently part of the work force. But then came the icing on the cake! As I sat and waited for my order, I observed as other customers came into the restaurant. Khari patiently and professionally treated each customer with the same businesslike interest that he treated me! I left this establishment inspired by the fact that there's hope for the younger generation after all. Actually, I was proud, thanks to Khari! And by the way, the food...
