My family attended the food truck festival on this past Sunday, which was Sunday..4/28/2024. My husband decided that he wanted to try the turkey legs from Hickory tree turkey Barbecue. He patiently waited about an hour and 45 minutes to get to the front of the line to even have his order taken. He ordered the turkey Legs and soul rolls. The total order came out to over $138. After he paid the money, When we asked how long would it take to get our food the cashier (which by the way was the most rudest person with the worst disposition I have ever seen) said she did not know when the food would be ready. I then asked her, well, can you just give me an estimation as to when you think it might be ready? she retorted, I don’t know, and I can’t tell you when they’ll be ready. And let me add, they have a no money back policy. My husband decided that he would give her and this business the benefit of the doubt and just wait. He ended up waiting for over two hours to get the food that we had ordered. By the time we got our food, It was time to leave. When we got home with the food, I Opened the turkey legs discovered that they were not even edible. It looked like they had just gone to Walmart, bought some turkey legs wrapped them up in some paper and aluminum folded warm them up and handed them to us. I couldn’t even stick a fork in them to pull the meat away from the bone. That’s how uncooked these turkey legs were. I just want to say that this was the worst experience and the worst part of our day dealing with this type of unprofessionalism, rudeness and disrespect for a paying customers time. The cashier was really and truly, the most rude and disrespectful person and a poor representation of that company. I will never go to them again. I ended up having to cook these turkey legs the next day for about 3 1/2 hours and they were super delicious. I felt like this company took advantage of a lot of people that night. It appeared that they didn’t have the surplus for the demand that was pressing. And instead of them, just saying that they didn’t have any more turkey legs, they continued to take peoples money and in the background, made a mad dash to Walmart or whatever store they went to, grab some turkey legs, and came back, warmed them up and served them. This was clearly deceptive and dishonest, 100%. No one wants to feel like...
Read moreI love the food but always expect a bit of a wait.
I arrived at the store on a Saturday evening @ 6:08 pm, just shortly before the 7pm closing time.
There was a sign out front that directed customers that only two customers at a time were allowed inside. I waited in my car for a lull in customers but unfortunately that did was NOT happening. Everyone loves the food.
So following the instructions on another sign, I placed an online order.
The website was user friendly and, even with my spotty cellular service, by 6:13pm, I had received confirmation that my order had been received and would be ready at 6:30pm.
At 6:33, I went inside to check on my order. The associate at the counter asked for my order details and confirmed with the kitchen that my had been received and was being prepared.
Unfortunately, I did not get the associates name, but she was doing an AMAZING job taking walk-in orders, delivering completed orders to vehicles and all with patience and efficiency.
The associate went above and beyond to assist a handicapped customer in a wheelchair. Although driving, it was not an easy task for the handicapped customer to get in and out of his wheelchair from and into his vehicle. The store associate made sure his order was taken and brought out to him without inconvenience to him.
My order of Crack & Mac (large) and three orders of Peach Cobbler (1/3 pt size) we’re brought out to my car by 6:45pm.
I appreciate the service of the associate who delivered my order to my car as well as the kitchen staff who were obviously just as busy since there was nonstop customers the entire time I was there. Thank you all!
Oh yeah, lol, my food was...
Read moreFirst impressions are everything. I attended the Greensboro Food Truck Festival with my family and we wanted to try this place bc of the Turkey legs and to support a black business. We ordered 4 Turkey legs and when ordering the rudest person they could have ever placed at the register was there taking orders. Ordering Turkey legs she didn’t know WHEN the Turkey legs were going to be ready. Giving an ETA of about 45mins we were willing to waiting. So my father in law who has NEVER been to a food truck festival before waited for 2 hours for Turkey legs. There were people waiting for 3 hours for food and the staff and owner didn’t know when we going to get our food. It was poorly organized and also the lady at the register was the worst she should have NOT been dealing with the public at all. By the time we received our food the festival was ending and my father in law stood at that place the WHOLE time. Also, once I got home and tried to eat that 2hour Turkey leg it wasn’t fully cooked. Smh Terrible. I can’t say that it’s not a great place to eat but with my experience there I will NOT...
