My family just dined at this location. When we walked in there was a sign on the door stating "Do not sit at a Dirty table." But literally everywhere that didn't have a person was dirty. The cleanest table just needed to be wiped down, so we stood by it for a minute waiting for someone to wipe it down. No big deal to wait, we were very patient. However, we then noticed the floors were filthy and looked as if they had not even attempted to sweep from previous diners. There was bacon and waffle bits on the floor, as well as, crumpled up napkins and straw paper everywhere. Usually it's not a big deal for me to overlook a little mess on the floor, but this was an obvious attempt at ignoring the mess. We received plastic ware to eat with, but later saw a couple of other guests get metal ware. I assumed they must have been behind on cleaning, but never saw anyone of the 6 people even begin to wash anything. I noticed at one point one lady started sweeping, but it was in the kitchen area, not anywhere near where it actually needed to be swept.
As far as the food goes, it was good. However, we ended up having to request the missing bacon for a couple of our meals. No big deal it happens, just pointing out the issues we ran into today.
Our server was Destiny, she was nice and helpful and didn't seem to get annoyed that we kept asking for stuff which I appreciate, but a couple of the other staff were so busy chit chatting and laughing that it was like this was their hangout spot instead of their work place. Also the one man I saw there was cooking and he was just doing his job from what I could tell. He didn't engage in the conversations like the other women were and was actually working.
The women's bathroom was actually cleaner then the dining area. It looked as if someone had actually cleaned it recently. Which is great, but I'd like for the area in which I eat to be clean also.
All in all, it was disappointing that the place so dirty. The staff made no attempt to clean when anyone left a table or even when someone...
Read moreThis review could have been a 5, but the manager on duty Sunday, May 6th ruined that. My husband and I were in your restaurant on Saturday, May 5th around 11:00pm and experienced some of the best food ever. The waffle was cooked perfect and the consistency of the eggs was out of this world. We witnessed at least 2 other tables rave about how good the food was as well, so that should let you know the cooks were on their A game. We asked the waitress who we could contact to let them know how pleased we were with the food and service and she instructed us to call the restaurant the next morning and tell the manager on duty. I called and ask for the manager the following morning only to hear him say "I'm busy they will need to call back later". I understand that mornings might be a bit crazy at the restaurant, but for the manager to be too busy to speak with a customer was a bit offensive to me. I have never witnessed such in all of my years. I was at least proud of the young lady that relayed his message to me, as she had a bit more tack with her and said maam he is not available right now, can you call back after 2pm. I was polite to her, as it was not her fault the manager was rude, but there is absolutely no way I am calling back on his time, as he should have handled the entire situation with a bit more class. After all, he is the manager and should be able to multitask a bit better. Kudos to the night staff and cooks and the young lady that answered the phone in the morning, but a big fat boo to the morning shift manager that needs some lessons on tact and how to address customers that call in with special...

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at the Waffle House on Elmsley Meadow. I was charged both a âTo-Go Feeâ and a âService Chargeâ for an order I physically walked inside the restaurant to place and waited for. These extra charges totaled 20% of my order, and I wasnât given the option to decide on a tipâthese fees were simply added without explanation.
What makes this even more frustrating is what I observed while waiting. Two customers dining inside paid with cashâone using a $100 bill and another with a $50 bill. The customer with the $100 bill had a total of $13 and left a $2 tip (less than 10%). Despite requiring more service while dining in, they were not subjected to additional fees like I was for a simple to-go order.
When I asked the employees about this, I was told the fees are applied to all to-go orders but not to dine-in customers. This policy makes no senseâwhy penalize customers picking up food, who require far less attention than those dining in? These fees were not disclosed upfront, and I only realized after requesting a copy of my receipt. Had I not asked, I wouldnât have known about these hidden charges at all.
This is deceptive and unacceptable business practice. I will not be returning to any Waffle House location until this unfair policy is addressed and changed. Furthermore, I will be filing a formal complaint with corporate to demand accountability and transparency...
