While in the UNCG area, I got hungry. I was going to get Chinese but I had just missed the lunch pricing. Instead of wasting a bunch of time being indecisive, I opted to get Wendy’s. When I went to UNCG, this Wendy’s was notorious for being ridiculously SLOW!!! I can say there’s been some improvements.
On a Wednesday afternoon around 3:45pm. I parked in the parking lot and placed my order on app at 3:47pm. If you don’t already have an account, make one and place your orders so you can get reward points and redeem for free food. I ordered the $5 double stack meal deal. It came with nuggets, fries, and a drink. For my drink, I got the zero sugar mixed berry Minute Maid beverage.
Inside, I was greeted promptly. My food wasn’t quite ready yet. The cashier told me they didn’t have my drink in the back and asked what else I wanted. I opted to get my own drink. Turns out, they had in the drink machine in the lobby. It’s one of those fancy machines with many options. The restaurant was clean and staff was friendly.
My food was ready at 3:53pm. I asked for an extra bbq sauce because bbq sauce is love! It was a great thing that I did because as I was driving and eating my delicious, crispy nuggets, I remembers I forgot to customize my burger -facepalm-
Once I got to my destination, I finished my fries that was warm. They didn’t seem like they were fresh. A couple looked overcooked. To savage my burger, I took off the onion and pickles. Then I used a napkin to get as much mustard as possible off the burger. The final step required me to DRENCH my burger with an entire container of BBQ Sauce. I highly dislike the taste of mustard and pickles, so I had to be sure the BBQ Sauce overpowered it. #SuccessfulMission I was glad because I was going to he upset if I had to...
Read moreIf I could give it negative stars, I would. Waited about 20 minutes in drive thru when inside looked relatively empty and there was only about 5 cars in drive thru. Then get to the window and the lady they had working the window was the rudest fast food worker I've ever seen. I let her know I had rewards to use on my phone. I wasn't in the least bit rude or any sort of way other than, "i have rewards to use on my phone. " She scans it, takes my payment and then opens the window about 2-3 minutes later and snaps, "next time, you need to say please because I'm a person too." She then slams the window back and we waited another 5 minutes for our food. I was very shocked with her attitude because I've never seen someone so rude before. Speaks to her management and ownership that she feels so comfortable disrespecting customers who showed her absolutely ZERO disrespect. Especially one ones like is with a big family whose order was almost $50 for lunch. I therefore knew there was no reason to even attempt to ask for a manager. I'll just do the best thing I can, which is never spend another dime at this location and it'll be a long long time before I go to ANY Wendy's. Read moreLately things have changed I'm use to being greeted and having a smooth transaction. Lately the last few months that I've been coming to this location later in the evening. The cashiers running the drive-thru window aren't always friendly. Tonight I placed an order and I had a drink and two Frosty's so I asked for a cup holder. The cashier told me that she would go to find one for me. The secondary helper handed me all of my drinks and when the first cashier came back she handed me my food and turned her head and said nothing else to me. So I sat there for a good 2 minutes and the secondary cashier looked at me and I asked her if I could get a drink tray she tells me they don't have any. That didn't bother me much. what bothered me is the actions of the cashier that told me she was going to get me one. I then had to ask for a bag because I live up a hill and there's no way that I could have carried two bags of food and three separate drinks by myself. I was given a bag but it was almost as if I was asking for money. I don't so much blame to company I just feel that people no longer care about other people so customer service is not what it used to be.
