If I could write negative stars here, I would!
I pulled up to the drive through at Culver’s (Greensburg, IN) at approximately 12:30pm on June 12, 2025 and attempted to order basically 4 meals (totaling about $50). These included a scrimp basket, a chicken tenders basket and two grilled chicken sandwiches. All was going fine until I order the first chicken sandwich (without a combo) and it rang in on the electronic screen in front of me at $7.29 and I noticed on the advertising board menu that it was listed for $7.09. So I mentioned it to the order-taking associate and was told that this sandwich has changed and it hasn’t been updated on the board. I continued with my order adding the second sandwich, which was also priced inconsistent to the menu board, and ended my order. I drove around to the window, the window opened and the associate at the window said the total. I then asked to speak to a manager. The young lady at the window rolled her eyes and repeated back to me “You want to talk to a manager?”. I said “yes.”
Another young lady came to window and identified herself as the manager. I explained to her that the menu board and the amount on the electronic screen wasn’t consistent. She replied by giving me a few excuses… The General Manager isn’t here… It a new sandwich… we can’t update the menu board…
I stopped her and said “I don’t want to hear your excuses. Just fix the issue” and pointed to the register.
This over-sensitive, inexperienced, incompetent “Manager” said, “I won’t be talked to like that and told me to leave her drive through. Slammed the slider window, locked it and left.
Now… I didn’t use any profanity or yell at her.
Yeah, I know it is only $.40 but it’s the principle and I was raised in a World were we still had morals, values, beliefs and stood up for what was right.
Stunned at her behavior, I waited in my truck for a few minutes not really understanding her approach to resolution. Next a young man came to the window and said “my manager has cancelled you order and refusing you service. She has that right.” He said you can talk to general manager and the owner, then shut the window again.
I drove away to another restaurant and I guess this place doesn’t ever need me to be a...
Read moreMy visit to Culver's left me mostly impressed with their offerings. The burger I ordered was freshly made and served promptly, a testament to their commitment to quality. While the cheese curds were a tad salty, they still satisfied my craving for a savory snack. However, it was the fish sandwich that truly stole the show – exceptionally good, with fresh and hot fish that melted in my mouth, despite being slightly under seasoned.
I really enjoyed the spicy chicken tenders. They were flavorful and had a nice kick of spice without being too overwhelming. Overall, it was a tasty and satisfying dish.
But let's talk about their frozen custard – it's an absolute must-have! Creamy, indulgent, and utterly delicious, it's the perfect way to end your meal on a sweet note. Overall, Culver's provided a positive dining experience, with standout items like the fish sandwich and frozen custard making it a memorable visit.
The staff at Culver's were attentive and polite, which made the dining experience even more pleasant. Their friendly demeanor and efficient service contributed positively to the overall atmosphere.
While the burgers here are very good, I have to say the way they name their burgers is a little confusing. So you hear about Culver's famous butterburger, you go see the menu and there you see the listed butterburger but it looks kind of plain. Let's say you want the works and you see the Culver's Deluxe, but it's not listed as a butter burger so I'm confused, is a Culver's deluxe a different kind of burger and or is it just a butterburger with the works?
Turns out, all of their burgers are butterburgers and the Culver's deluxe is a butterburger with the works. So what's a butterburger? Well, Culvers lightly butter their buns before toasting them. I think the majority of fast food burger joints butter their buns before toasting them, so I feel like the naming is a bit silly and it's Culver's attempt to make a burger sound more than what it is.
At the end of the day, what's in a name? That which we call a butterburger. By any other name would taste as good, so definitely give...
Read moreALWAYS CHECK INSIDE YOUR SANDWICH/BURGER BEFORE TAKING A BITE. Went to the drive through, ordered a chicken sandwich. I probably waited fewer than two minutes when they brought my order out, which you would think I would be happy they made my order quickly, but it was suspicious since they are never that quick. I parked to eat my food before continuing my errands for the day. I opened the box and the sandwich and it looked old and like someone smashed their fist on it. I then opened the sandwich only to find a foreign, hard object in it. Unacceptable and there is no excuse. What if I choked on it? What if a child ate it and choked on it? They did give me refund but they didnt even seem concerned. This place is going downhill. Culvers, please work on your quality control....
