The two vodka drinks I had were each $8 (bill was $16 before tip). I realize bars/restaurants sell expensive drinks, but this was extreme. I did not like the bright lighting, but the bartender did put the lighting down when I mentioned it. I hate all the noise and the irritating sports and news shows; of course with other people talking I understand it won't be a quiet atmosphere, but as for the channels on the televisions it doesn't make sense to me that there isn't some variety when people enjoy different shows/films. It would be nice to see a dot-com or sci-fi film on one screen at least. Not every person wants to be stuck with sports and news channels in front of their eyes. I tried to hurry so that I could get away from the noise and irritating shows. I would rather not drink alcohol anyway (and I do not drink often now that I'm older and more mature thanks to God/Jesus/His Holy Spirit helping me cut back on drinking over the years since I was a binge drinker mainly in my 20's, and God helped me recognize my errors and gave me strength to start facing the pain of life without booze/vodka). Also, I am more introverted and crowds and noise increase my stress levels. On top of this, I'd rather save money and watch a dvd I prefer such as Logan's Run or a Mad Max film. So because of the price, wanting to stay away from alcohol, preferences on shows played, and not liking crowds I'd rather not go here again. One other issue was that I do not think the bartender washed his hands after blowing his nose and taking out the trash so I got different straws, and my anxiety was increased after that. I do appreciate the bartender dimming the lights to decrease my anxiety, but at that point all the stress and chaos was so overwhelming for me, and I wanted to leave. Anyway, I do not hope this business fails, but that it improves. Also, I hope everyone has a...
Read moreFriday was the first time I was ever here. Let me say before I even walked in the door the staff was very helpful. I am on WW and called twice to get nutritional information so I could set myself up for success. They answered me patiently and it was so helpful. Once we got there they patiently answered one last question I had and I really appreciated it. On to the food..WOW. Being that I am watching what I'm eating and wanted to make the most of my night out that I'm allowed to eat whatever I wanted, I wanted it to be worth it and it was! The house salad was amazing, french onion soup was the best we ever had and I got the Philly Cheesesteak and it was unbelievable! My husband got a Ruben and said it was one of the best he's ever had. I took off one star bc the location and the noise. No parking, we had to walk a good ways to get there and it's very small inside and LOUD. Almost to the point of wanting to leave bc it wasn't an enjoyable dinner with my husband. The bar is right up against a bunch of crowded tables and people are bumping into you left and right trying to get by. I wouldn't let that stop me from going again, but maybe we'd go earlier or even just sit at the bar. Wish they'd invest in some sound deadening features bc it was piercing to where you had to yell to the person next to you. Try this place out! The food is worth the hassle of parking...
Read moreWife and I stopped by on Tuesdsy July 3rd, about 745pm. Had some absolutely amazing Spinach and Artichoke dip (served with long sliced baguette, much thicker than most we've tried and garnished with shredded extra sharp cheddar, overall amazing). Wite ordered the Reuben and I the 'West of Philly' cheese steak (actual sliced steak so it's thicker pieces, cooked nicely, plenty of onions, peppers, and mushrooms). Both were fantastic. French fries were good but needed 2 more minutes in the fryer (oil was fresh, place was busy, and fries were not yet full golden so I can assume the new oil had not reached temperature, but they tasted great). Only noticed 2 servers/bartenders but they kept the place going and customers happy without any hiccups or delays, they were both happy and smiling. Nice small place, darker lighting, at least 5 TVs I could see from my seat across from the bar. 10 beers on tap, large appetizer selection. About 830 a large group of people cleared out and the volume dropped, 50% capacity after that point. Temperature...
