The dining experience we had here was absolutely worth the five stars and more! The waitress was the Daughter of the owner. She explained that this was literally the foods she grew up with (so I felt really good about going with her recommendations!). My Wife and I have found our fair share of Midlle Eastern offerings in the area but we are by no means experts in such cuisine. I can safely say that the recommendations of our waitress were ALL worth every bit and more of the prices paid for our huge meal! We got the Appetizer Platter and the grape leaves and the Tabbouleh were unbelievably good! The Flatbread was a great and familiar pairing but we got extra veggies and that was like a hidden key to the pallette puzzle of flavors in that plate! That alone could serve as a meal for two but we truly were about to experience a world of tastes, textures, and flavors that we had not known existed in Greensburg! Our protein platters came and we were just blown away by the presentation as well as the bountiful serving sizes! We ordered salmon, chicken, beef, lamb, kibbi with yogurt, and shrimp on two platters! Oh - and sauces such as garlic, hot sauce (which I can only describe as the most dippable hot sauce I've yet to experience), and tahini sauce. This is for TWO people who went to purchase a cooler afterwards for our leftovers 🤣 We also had the Turkish coffee which you must truly smell, as well as taste because that cup of coffee is a true experience in ITSELF! The owner was kind to come over and speak with us. What is truly incredible about Her is the sincerity and passion that she shows in Her food as well as in Her appreciation for those who come to experience Her traditional, truly HOME felt cooking! The dining room itself is very nicely done - it just fits in the space that it's in and allows the amazing beauty and taste experience of the FOODS here to blend you into the beauty of the wooden wall and the street view charms! Awesome experience!!! You really have to experience the foods and the passion of the...
Read moreYOU HAVE TO GO HERE!!!!!!! Yesterday we stopped at Sittay's for the very first time! I have to say ... EVERYTHING was AMAZING! The food is some of the best Mediterranean food I have had in YEARS! And I LOVE Mediterranean food (all kinds). Syrian has to be my favorite though. Our waitress Selene seated us immediately ... and happily! She was SO sweet! Very friendly, polite, accommodating, and attentive. Her mother was the same way! We met the owner and even SHE was super fantastic! The food ... what can I say about the food other than I wish I would have gotten pictures! We had the appetizer platter at Selene's suggestion and were blown away! The portions are HUGE! Some of the BEST Baba Ghanoush I have ever had, and the Tabouleh - AMAZINGLY fresh! The whole platter was mouth watering and did not disappoint in any way. We also got the Gyro wrap! WOW! WOW! Their tzatziki is the BEST! This Gyro was not the typical gyro you will find at the fairs, food trucks, and flea markets. This gyro is in a class all of its own! The meat, the addition of pickles, the tzatziki ... everything wrapped up in a toasted pita made this my absolute favorite gyro EVER! I cannot wait to go back and try EVERYTHING on the menu ... and back, I will go! Try it!!! Seriously ... give this place a chance. I'd give it 20+...
Read moreMy first visit to Sittay's, Feb. 22nd, 2025, We received terrible service. We sat there almost 5 minutes before one of their waitresses came by kinda threw the menus on the table and walked away without a word. I won't go through the whole night but let's just say we literally had to ask for silverware! The food was good though. We just chalked it all up to them having very young serving staff upfront. My second visit, March 8th, 2025, was for take-out. Biggest mistake of my life! The service was little better maybe because I called and pre-ordered. However, the cashier walked away when I stepped up to the register. I My order was ready when I got there sitting by the register. So another young lady steps up and says the cashier will be with you and was same young lady that walked away without acknowledging me. Anywho, at this point I'm thinking they just give bad service to "certian" people. Let's just say there was no one else that looked like me in there on both visits. I get my take-out and go home so we can have dinner as I hadn't eaten all day. By 3 o'clock Sunday morning the bathroom was in heavy ratation and by 5 o'clock am I had full-blown food poisoning! The cold sweats, body aches, vomiting, and diarrhea, I had it all. Needless to say Sittay's is definitely at the top of our "NEVER VISIT...
