So... Not that this really matters but, went in and I needed a prepaid staples card to print off docs. Went to the desk in the 'printing section'-initially the young lady while helping another client asked what I needed-honestly I drew a blank-so she asked if I had a question about printing--I said yes. Okay-so the lady that she was helping was paying with a check(and the person that she was helping had the just beautiful braids, by the way-so if YOU see this--your braids were cute girl!!!!) anyway--the associate was new and didn't know how to process a check so it took a little longer. No big deal. So my son and I walked over to the printer to see if the terminal did in fact take Google pay--realized it didn't, so we Hung around for just a minute or two more and then walked back to the desk. The associate (young girl-short hair) had finished helping the customer--and there wasn't anyone else waiting-so we went and stood at the counter. The associate was typing something on the computer-no big deal, I didn't mind waiting. Then the phone rings, she tells us to wait,--and helps the customer on the phone. Apparently the customer on the phone was a regular because she stated that her manager told her that they'd be calling. She proceeded to take their entire order over the phone with us there waiting. Okay, I'm a bit irritated at this point but, fine--i don't show it. She puts them on hold to find something that they asked about.
And we just stood there and waited.
She comes back, picks up the phone, continues the call..... While we're still waiting, and then finishes. Once she finishes, she asked me what I needed--I told her& she then sends me to the front desk (mind you, I needed the prepaid staples card, and the previous two times that I've purchased it, it's always been at this desk). Sending us to the front either at the beginning of her call.... Or even in the middle.... Would've been preferable. But whatever... Still ... NO BIG DEAL. I mean don't get me wrong, I'm a bit annoyed.... But I'm not actively displaying it conveying my annoyance to her.
So, we go to the front-the guy was SUPER NICE, got me what I needed. Went to the printers, had an issue (at this point I thought the printer needed to put a $5 hold on the staples card).I look up front to see if the guy was still at the counter, and he wasn't (no big deal, he was probably helping someone else-)So I see the young girl with the short hair at the counter-near the printers. She didn't have anyone in front of her so I assumed she was able to help. I go over to her and call her (very nicely, as I'm mindful of tone and inflection) and ask if she could help.
This. Chick. Says. "I'M TOO BUSY, GO UP FRONT AND ASK FOR HELP"
I pause and very kindly say "I would but the guy that helped me before isn't there at the moment"
She says "WELL SOMEONE WILL BE BACK SOON, YOU JUST HAVE TO GO AND WAIT".
First off I'd like to say this. I'm someone that actively goes around and LOOKS for people to hire (when I have a position open OR if I know someone else within my organization has a position open) -and personally I enjoy being able to take someone from making $7, $8, $9/hr and works crazy hours to making a minimum of $22/hr with consistent hours. Because personally, I like to help people and I like to see people just win in life.
Just know that sometimes when you're actively being an ass..... You miss out on the good things. The other guy? I actually may go back and see him.
I'd also like to note that not everyone is as calm. I don't care what in the heck is going on.. The last thing that should come out of an associates mouth is "I'm too busy" and with an attitude. My 16 year old son looked at me with a shocked face because even he, as someone that just started working at his first job, even he knows that-was WAY...
Read moreI just called this store many times (more than five). They are very slow (for the first two times, I waited too long and it was silent on the other side, I have to drop the call because I am not sure if the store people was still with me). They told me there is one left, but they could not reserve the product for me because it is low stock. So I started driving to the store. Smart enough, I call them on the way to there. However, I was told the product had been reserved!! I was confused and asked them why I could not and somebody can. They just told me that I did not reserved and I could not buy before the reservation is released, no EXPLANATION!!
Their attitude is very rude. They (both manager and the stuff) are very IMPATIENT and NOT trying to listening to customers AT ALL. Possibly, they are thinking you are waste their time. They don't care if you come to buy products at all.
Some one told me before that Staples is going to out of business. I can see why from my experience from...
Read moreI went in to send a fax today. The young man in the copy center that wears lipstick. I asked him to help me. He had no clue how to send a fax. I paid for the fax and was told there is no confomation that it was sent.I then asked for a receipt because the machine would not print one. Then I was told go to the front for your receipt. The guy in the front said he had to get the people in line first. Back to the copy center I went because they never sent the receipt up front. Why is this store so dysfunctional??? Twelve people in line up front and nobody knows what they are doing. I paid 4.20 on my debit for the fax. Then I checked my account and it says 4.20 then 5 dollars voided then 5 dollars added. The manager should be helping these people!!! This store deserves 0 stars not 1. Get yourself together and train...
