Against my better judgement, I gave it a second try. The first time, the waitress asked if we were ready for our bill before we even got drinks; we waited that long. We asked about sides for my wife's dish, we were told that it did not come with any. This was important because my wife will not eat food that touches. It came with a side of spaghetti and a salad all on the same plate. Yes, the cold salad was served on a hot plate. When we said something, the waitress argued with us. I asked to pay my bill so we could leave. I was to to pay at the register. I went to pay, and then had to wait for the waitress to come because she did not provide a bill. They decided to comp our meal because of the issues.
Today, a Sunday, a group of friends was going for the breakfast buffet. I decided to give it another chance. Pancakes, waffles, and toast were all sitting so long that they were hard. I actually broke the toast for the "waitress." I put it in quotes because all she did was ask how it was and repeatedly apologize for the bad food. They don't even serve drinks. Bacon and sausage were good. I don't eat black pepper. Both the plain eggs and those with peppers and onions were heavily coated with pepper. The same for the potatoes. It's on the table if anyone wants it. There was some pasta that looked a little rough. There was some kind of fried protein. Three of us debated on what it was. Two of us though chicken, the third thought fish. After hearing fish, we all agreed that it may have started out as fish, but was sitting so long that it had the texture of chicken. I repeatedly got coffee for our table, and the one next to us. They don't serve anything. It would have taken seconds to bring a pot of coffee when asking if everything was ok. The other table was grateful for me serving coffee. I said it only takes a few seconds longer to pour theirs when I was pouring ours.
Pancakes, waffles, and toast are difficult to keep fresh in a buffet. Set out a loaf of bread and a toaster, like a hotel breakfast. Offer made to order pancakes and waffles. I will gladly walk back up...
Read moreI don't take giving bad ratings likely, but I stopped in here Sunday at 2:30 PM with the expectation of having the breakfast buffet that was supposed to be on until 3:00 and discovered that all of the Sterno heaters had already been turned off and the food was ice cold. I decided to go ahead and try the food, not knowing exactly how cold it was. The best dish was the sausage olio, but it was practically gone and cold. My friend tried to order from the menu, but the chef had left to go to the new location that they were preparing to open. After 10 minutes, the chef came back. I had to bite my tongue to not make a sarcastic comment as he walked by mumbling about how it was gonna take at least a half hour to make the noodles. The server was frustrated at the situation, but she was a trooper about the whole thing and went above and beyond. She deserves 5 stars. I may try it again someday, because our server was amazing, but not immediately. We ended up going to the pizza joint on...
Read moreFirst time here in their trial week and I'm really impressed. The building itself and the decor are not impressive but the food is. I got the jumbo plate while my friend got the udon ramen. We both really enjoyed our meals. Portions were decent and the food was flavorful. For my plate I got roasted chicken, char-bq pork, rice, broccoli, corn and kale. Id never had kale before due to it being very plain usually but it's seasoned well and fried beautifully. The pork was my favorite, a nice sticky sweet sauce and thick cut pieces. The chicken wasn't as flavorful as the pork but still had a very well marinated skin on it. The only thing I didn't like was the corn, it's a basic seasoned corn but I think it was not a very sweet batch of corn....
