Kathy’s has hands down thee best service around restaurant wise in Darke county. From the wait staff, crew and even Kathy herself. I’ve been here many times, and I’ve never had a bad experience. Never felt rushed in any way here to “leave” after eating. The Staff is absolutely top notch, polite, caring, friendly, and go out of their way to make sure your visit is a great one. The place is always an inviting, and pleasant experience. The food is great, being here many times I’ve tried most of the menu and have no complaints. Not a single one, on any visit. Kathy’s Restaurant is truly a hidden gem here in Darke county, amongst all the hustle and bustle of all the big name places that always make you feel rushed and that you, as a customer aren’t that important. So hats off to everyone that works at Kathy’s, who hold you, the customer with high regard and uphold their standards to excel, so your visit is a lasting impression on how you should be treated, and feel welcomed while spending your time to come in there. As for myself, and my family, we will be going here often, knowing that we will have a great experience, time...

I stopped in at Kathy's this morning and had a wonderful breakfast. The place still has that mom and pop restaurant feel to it.

I had the country fried steak with 2 eggs, cubed potatoes (they do hashbrowns and slices as well) with some buttered white toast.

The country fried steak was tender, and although the breading didn't perfectly hold on to the steak, it was crispy and delicious. I had it with the sausage gravy, and I can not stress enough how perfect it was. Really savory with a good amount of sausage crumbles.

They cooked my eggs just right when I ordered them over medium. They used just the right amount of salt to add flavor without overpowering them.

The diced potatoes were cooked well but didn't have a whole lot of flavour by themselves. But they did pair well with the extra gravy I had leftover from the steak.

They buttered they toast well and it was a good golden brown.

All in all, it was a fantastic start to my day and for a fair price. I believe $12 is a steal of a price...

Pretty Good service considering how small the place is. The food is ok. Be prepared to wait to be seated.. Biscuits and gravy are the same type they use at a Cheap Hotel Free Continental Breakfast so don't make the same mistake I did. I would recommend the place to those who don't mind waiting and have low expectations of how food should be prepared.. There is also very little parking so keep that in mind also. Don't make the same mistake I did and drink more than one refill because you will be charged full price for another soda.You only get one refill,and will not be told that you only get one refill!!!Place really wouldn't be that great for someone in a wheelchair if they were busy. On the bright side everyone working there...
