Apparently don't place an order on Friday before noon? I was told by corporate that THIS Marco's supplies pizza for the school and therefore they do not do orders on Friday before noon. This is NOT posted online, so I placed a 5 pizza order for 12:00pm delivery, around 10:20am. I received a confirmation email at 10:36am for order number 107, promised 3/3/2023 at 12:00pm. It was 75$ worth of pizza and a 20$ tip for the driver. I received ANOTHER confirmation email at 11:33am. I tried calling the Greenville location starting at 12:11pm, then 12:11pm again because it hung up on me, and 12:15pm. I was placed on hold the 2nd and 3rd time with no way to check on my order and then waited 3 minutes only to be disconnected / hung up on, and then 2 minutes only to be hung up on. I called corporate at 12:18pm to seek assistance with reaching the store. My 5 pizzas and one pizza bowl arrived via delivery at 12:28pm, lukewarm at best. The driver was at the employee entrance (I am not sure how long he was there...but my directions for the building were the second suite inside...I do feel bad because it's raining!) I did NOT receive the 4 garlic cups I ordered, but they are listed on the receipt. I also have one co-worker who only has a 30-minute lunch, so they have to wait to eat their pizza bowl. I was never contacted by the location about the delay or the initial conflict with supposedly providing pizza for the schools. I would have tried to work something out had I been. Frustrating, because I tried to do a nice thing for my co-workers and thankfully they are still appreciative. I have to say, as a worker at a large medical provider in town, I will base what I say to our director on how this is remedied and whether we will use Marco's again to supply lunch for our team. I will provide any updates and change my rating as needed in the comment section.
update 3/3/2023 12:58pm Was called and my charges were removed from my card...I didn't need full compensation but I appreciate the gesture and the apology. They apparently have a new computer system as well, which was NOT supposed to let the order be placed as delivered before 12:00pm due to the school conflict. I will make a note that this occurs on Friday and if I order from them for work again, I will not expect food at noon or earlier. I did suggest somehow adding that to the website if possible so that there are no other communication issues or unhappy customers with hungry staff. Read morePlaced an order on July 3rd at 6:16pm online. The confirmation indicated the order would be delivered in 30 minutes. I called the store at 7:05pm to check on the status because my order has not not shown. The person that answered the phone explained that there were issues online delivery times which I can understand. She informed me that orders are taking around an hour and confirmed with me that the order should arrive in 15-20 minutes which was okay with me. At 7:41pm I called back because my order still had not arrived. I was informed that my order was out for delivery. I then asked what how long my order has been out of the oven and was informed 45 minutes.
I decided to cancel my order and ended up speaking with the manager that night. He informed me that the order would be canceled and the credit card to place the order would be credited within in 1 business day. Shortly after 8pm the delivery driver shows up with the order. I declined the order and did not accept the food because I had previously canceled it.
Today I checked the credit card used to place the order and there was no credit pending for my cancelled order. I decided to call to check on the status of the credit. I spoke with the manager and he offered me a in store credit less than my original order amount which was unacceptable after being assured that my order would be credited on the 3rd. He said he was unable to credit the card. I insisted he credit the card or provide cash for the amount of the order. He abruptly said the card would be credited and hung up on me. I will be monitoring my credit card to ensure I receive the credit for the full amount. I will update my rating if the credit posts.
Very poor experience.
Update: I stopped in the store in person after a couple of failed attempts to get a credit by speaking with them over the phone. They did finally credit my card after my in person visit. I updated the service to 2 star only because after much difficulty they did end up issuing me the credit that they originally promised. There were no apologies for the confusion or the hassle I was put through to get a credit for an order I never received. I am very hesitant to order from this establishment...
Read moreMy order was wrong again tonight. My salad was missing, the delivery guy said that he forgot it. He said that he would bring it back out. I didn't want to wait to eat. Our order was already 25 mins late. This was the second time my salad was missing from the delivery. I did call and asked for the manager. She was not very nice! I've spoke to a manger before when my order was wrong and that guy was very nice. 3 of the last 5 of our orders were not right. I didn't even notice that the pizza wasn't right either tonight. No Parm crust, no garlic sauce cup again and I paid for double sauce and it didn't have that. We love the food at Marcos, that's the only reason we keep ordering. When we order we spend $30 to $40. Is it to much to ask to get what we are paying for. I asked for her to just take the salad cost off my charges for this order. She said it's already been charged, so I can get it delivered tonight or I could have a credit of $7. On the next order. It's NOT a credit when I paid for it. I'm getting tired of calling in because my delivery isn't right. I'd love to keep ordering here, but is it to much for them to double check the orders before...
