First let me say the server Ryan was phenomenal! No complaints at all. My mother, father and daughter went for lunch today and were impressed with the restaurant as we were led to our table and met our server. We went to try the designer style Bloody Mary with the crablegs, oysters and things like the Blind Pelican we go to in NC. We told them that’s what we came for but mistakenly ordered the seafood tower for 2 from the menu thinking that is what it was called. When the brought it out we kept one for my daughter to eat but quickly noticed it was not enough food for 2 people as my 135 pound daughter ate everything on there. It was not enough food. My mother and I got the she crab soup and it was very bland with not much flavor. I didn’t finish all of mine to save room for my designer Bloody Mary with all the seafood. I was so disappointed when it came. It has a crab claw with legs missing, 2 cold hush puppies, 3 cocktail shrimp and a grilled cheese with a pickle and olive. It also had 3 oysters in ice on the tray the drink was brought out in but the melted bitter for the crab legs was solidified because they placed it on the butter. I couldn’t eat the crab legs because they gave us nut crackers instead of crab crackers. The grilled cheese was cold and soggy, the cheese was hard and the oysters were so small once in a cracker with sauce all you could taste was the cracker. I asked the waiter if I could speak to the manager, and I just wanted to let them know about some of my concerns with the portions flavor, the fact that I couldn’t eat half of what I ordered and no way to crack the crab legs. when I mentioned the crab crackers, she said yeah the wrong thing came in so we’re gonna have to order some different ones. And when I mentioned how the food was in the bloody Mary’s, she had an explanation and said you can’t compare us to anybody else we’re just starting out. I wasn’t trying to compare them with anyone. I was just letting them know and giving them some feedback, and the manager was very rude. She offered no resolution. She seemed very upset that I was not pleased and walked away. I then told our server what she did and he went and got one of the owners which was a young lady, and she was very nice and listened to us, but also kept giving excuses for each thing I seem to have an issue with in all honesty if you’re going to be a high end, seafood restaurant or Oyster bar you should have appropriate crab crackers to get the meat out of the crab legs not a nutcracker. It was comical, and in all honesty if I was a food critic, I would’ve laughed my way out the door. I explained the fact that the food that was on the tower for two that my daughter finished the entire thing herself and she actually had left because I was going to pay her bill for her. The owner offered no resolution. She offered nothing to make things right and the Waiter brought our bill and it was $291.60 for lunch THE seafood tower for two was $85. That is what my daughter ate by herself. Part of that is my fault because it did not have a price beside it, but I definitely didn’t think it was almost $100 maybe 50 our Boaty McBoatface Bloody Mary was $54. All of their oysters are the size of a quarter except for one which was the blue point and one dozen was $32 and my dad seem to enjoy those they were fairly large but All others they serve are about the size of a quarter. The hush puppies were OK, but I even told the owner that I was leaving hungry and I told her what was uneditable in the bloody Mary with all of the food and when I got the bill and it was $291.60 when my mother only ordered a bowl of sea crab soup for $14 that means me, my dad and my daughter had $280 worth of food and I left hungry.. The young lady that was part owner with her father never offered anything off of our meal or apologize she only gave excuses and said did we ever visit their restaurant in Simpsonville that it’s closed now and I’m starting to wonder why. No one should ever pay $300 for lunch and leave hungry We should’ve got a refund. Will...
Read moreI took my wife granddaughter great gradson an daughter there Sat at 1. We gad reservations. After being seated we waited appox 30 mins no one had made it to our table.I had to get up go to front to see hostess to tell her . Here response was I'm sorry I forgot to tell server. After being excited about their food that was featured on TV we placed our order. One was called a towel but we wanted the body mary towel we told them that was featured. After bring 2 we said we would give it to our gand daughter as there was very little seafood on it. My daughter and I ordered the Bloody Mary towel. When we finally got it it had these food items oysters which were so tiny they were small as a marble if that and only six the other item was 3 shrimp. A crab led cluster but only had two legs, a pickle, grill cheese sandwich which was hard dry and cold 2 small claws and bloody Mary. It was $54.00 nothing really to eat so I ordered a dozen raw oysters. My daughter ordered same as me minus the oysters. We then found out the little towel my frand daughter by her self ate it was $85.00 My wife and daughter ordered lobster bisque which looked like cream of wheat with not taste or seasoning we had to ask for salt but it had no taste as I could tell. Get this a bill that shocked us was $300. We spoke to the waitress that we needed a crab crackers to open our crablegs so they brought nut crackers as they said they didn't had any. So we ask for the manger/owner which we explained to her so apologized and agreed they entrees we very small given us but said they would work on it. She then said what can I do we would like you to come back. I said you're the owners daughter you tell me. She preceded to give apologies and offered a $20 voucher to come back at another time we thanked her but said we want be coming back . So just be aware I don't mind pay for good food but would like to at least have enough to eat and not leave hungry as we all did. Be aware this was a terrible experience. The daughter never as to have her father come speak with us. Want see us there again. One thing the waiter was very nice and he did a great job and offered his...
