I was curious to see what opened up in the place of LTO after it closed. I swung by here to see what they had. Very dissorienting menu. Really lacked focus. You have quail eggs listed right next to french fries. I think they would be better off just being columbian cuisine or just a burger place, because both was confusing. My waiter was a bit invasive. He might have been just trying to be helpful, but I don't need a walkthrough on the menu. Every item has a description, so I can figure it out on my own. Food was ok, nothing to write home about. Not bad, just also nothing memorable. When I was finished with my meal, I waited for the check to arrive, but it never came. After waiting for 20 mins, I tried to flag down my waiter. I figured maybe I missed something and I had to pay up front. Nope. When I asked where to pay, he just said he could take my card to the machine. A bit perplexed I gave him my card and he came back with my bill and a place to sign. I'm glad my bill came out to about what I expected, because I didn't have a chance to see it before it was rang in as. Still no idea how much a soda is because pricing isn't on the menu and my reciept only had a lump sum. Probably not coming back here. A bit too odd and a bit too unprofessional.
Also: the had a surcharge for using my debit card. Maybe just me, but this is a bad sign going to a place. I've been to smaller mom and pop places who don't do this. I'd almost rather have that surcharge baked into the cost of the items. I wouldn't mind paying an extra $0.71 cents across my whole meal, but to have that called out as a surcharge just for using a card, makes me feel like a sub par customer, compared to someone who...
Read moreThis was our first time here at the location in Cherrydale. We went on a Sunday at 2:30pm. We walked in the we were greeted and seated immediately. We were seated on the bar side in the corner near the bathrooms. Our server with the glasses were extremely nice and made our drinks in a timely manner. Our appetizer came out fast. However it took 30+ mins before we got out entrees. when it came to the entrees mine came out first. I don’t eat pork and I asked ahead of time if I can substitute the pork for chicken and was told yes. I also asked for no plaintains in my rice bowl and guess what? The bowl had pork and plaintains all in it. My husbands burger arrived 15 mins afterwards with cold fries. Our server NEVER came back to check on us after he took our order. Instead he literally took a seat at the bar and hung out with friends never acknowledging us. We never got a refill on our drinks and no one asked about our food. The other bartender was taking care of tables that came in after us who left before us and never came by us. I had to get up and ask the host for the check and guess what??? She didn’t bring it! My husband asked the other bartender for the check. This place was not worth $70 dollars! I feel like if your not Hispanic no need to come here because you will get ignored. We will NOT eat here again! A waste of our...
Read moreMe and my girlfriend came in on 10/28 around 8 p.m. and were seated on the side by the bar. Our server was a young guy. He took our drink order, and we also ordered our food at the same time. He asked if I wanted a side, and I said fries, not realizing they had potato wedges.
After that, he seated a group of his same race and served them right away, getting their drinks before us. He also took care of another table’s drinks before coming back to ours. When I asked if I could switch my fries to potato wedges, he said, “maybe next time.” We had just ordered, so I know it wasn’t too late to make the change.
Our food didn’t come out too late, but when it did, my fries were very cold. I just ate them because I figured if I said something, I’d just hear “maybe next time” again. He never came to check on us during the meal, but we noticed he checked on the other tables frequently. It honestly made us feel uncomfortable and disappointed because we treat everyone equally and expect the same in return.
When we were done eating, he finally came by and asked how the burgers were, and when we checked out, he said “have a good night.” That was the only time we really heard him talk, and it felt like it was only because he was expecting a tip. This was our first time there, and we didn’t feel welcomed at all, so we probably won’t...
