Fantastic little deli not too far from Greenwich Hospital. Crispy bacon, fresh eggs, and fresher bread. They have good iced coffee with above average ice. Yes, ice. It’s like strong cold ice. None of that melty stuff you get at other coffee shops. This ice holds it’s form and does it cooling job. I invented an order I call “The Fatherhood.” Bacon, egg, cheese, spicy chili, with cones and ketchup. Then you ask them to double the bacon and double the cheese, THEN YOU ASK THEM to throw that monster on a wedge. My invention will keep you full all day after a restless night of labor and delivery. Enjoy. And make time to visit. Good little spot.

In the heart of Greenwich, Rinaldi’s Country Deli proves that the art of the sandwich is alive and well in Connecticut. Their menu tempts with endless possibilities, but my loyalty lies with the classic Italian, bursting with peppers that pack just the right punch. When everything else is going up, Rinaldi’s keeps it real with prices that make sense—no frills, just damn good food.

I ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich with cones and whoever prepared the order forgot to put in cones. Not to mention it’s mostly bread with only one piece of bacon. Very dry. Extremely disappointed because the pictures on their website don’t match what I received.

This place is known around town as THE deli to go to. Family run, good food, at prices you'd expect. I want to give this location 5 stars, but in reality that's what it's being judged as - a location.

This place is POPULAR. And with very little seating (as it's primarily a pickup-and-go kind of place) there isn't much reason for them to have much space. However they have almost no space. It gives a very crammed, "hole-in-the-wall" kind of feeling (even though its a stand-alone building). And, it being on the corner of a 5 way intersection with limited parking makes it a hassle. With also only 3 parking spaces, one casheir and a long loop-around line that plays ring-around-the-snack-stand after spending 2 minutes trying to park; its difficult not to get an off feeling as a customer. Most people do park along the road, and the cops don't seem to mind - but that doesn't equate to a proper solution. Seeing as you could absolutely get a ticket for doing so, I stand by my metric of 3 actual spots.

Despite its shortcomings, people absolutely flock to this place simply for its food and family-style process. These are the type of guys who know their regulars by name and work hard to make sure they sell out by early afternoon with mostly fresh ingredients. It should go without saying that my 4 star rating is not a reflection of overall quality in the world of food, but moreover a rating for the type of place it is. Like, I wouldn't rate a McDonald's 1 star for not having good wine and fancy seating. This is a small delishack and I'm rating it as such. I would absolutely give it 5 stars if it weren't for the terrible parking and crammed mini-interior. It's also worth mentioning that the lines aren't always long, but if it's anything like 11am on a beautiful summer Saturday then you should know what to expect.

Overall I definitely recommend you go here if you like the kinds of locations you'd see in a state like Maine. If you're looking for something more "Greenwich", then it probably isn't...

Anyone who lives in the east putnam a side of Greenwich knows of Rinaldi's this family has fed pretty much everyone's kids for ages through middle school and highschool. I've been going here for sandwiches since I was in middle school. If you question how good the sandwiches are here, just know I lived in New Haven for a coupme years during college and came down to this very deli because to me its the taste of a good relaxing day at home. It's a small building but has big impact and even bigger flavor. This place is highly recommended for anyone looking for a good sandwich. Bruin with cones is my favoritebtry it out and you will not be...
