My girlfriend ordered carry out from Parry’s Pizza for us after our son was born via c-section and I was recovering from major surgery. Most of the food was super tasty despite the fact it was ice cold. We got to our desert and when I opened mine we discovered the cheesecake was covered in mold. She complained and received several coupons for free pizza, beer, desert ect. She gave them to us to use whenever. Flash forward 14 months later my husband and I were able to get my parents to watch our children over night so we could have our second date night since our son was born. We decided to go out and do several fun activities before we hit up Parry’s for dinner since it’s located right next to our home. We presented the server with our coupons and he immediately began to treat us like second hand citizens.
The first thing he said was that every ingredient was frozen and the last place he worked was a better restaurant....Oooooookaaaayyy?!??? Anyways, we ordered extra stuff in addition to what our coupons would cover and the waiter still felt the need to loudly talk smack about the fact we were “cheap” because we were redeeming said coupons that were given to us because we were served UNSAFE FOOD! He also tried to not let us use the coupon for a free pint with our free pizza coupon, even though they could clearly be used together (we checked and double checked). THEN when he corrected the check he decided to make this statement “Not bad for an $11 meal...” We tipped him 20% of what the bill would have been without the coupons, which was our intention was before we even walked through the door.
Well, after we get home my husband became VIOLENTLY ILL! He has vomited at least 4 times and I am feeling sick as well. Our child free date night clearly didn’t end the way we hoped. Don’t give this place a chance...we’ve given them two and they have failed drastically every time
Also - I feel the need to mention my husband is the corporate food safety lead for a major restaurant chain. We had to clean stuff off of our plates, the bathrooms were disgusting, there were splatter marks all over the walls of God knows what... We should have left without eating but we wanted so badly to have a great date night we ignored the signs. We even joked that Gordon Ramsey would have a field day with the staff and the condition of the place. I guess our desire to try to have fun over ran our common sense...#lessonlearned. There’s literally no way in hell we would ever dine there again after the way we were treated and the reaction we had to their vile food. DON’T RISK IT! #norovirus...
Read moreI had a horrible experience here. My coworkers stated this was a great place to visit for drinks as they have been patrons of the establishment for several years. I met them along with others to say farewell to our other coworker. Everything was fine and fun until an elderly man walks over and tells me, and only me, that I am being loud and cursing, which he finds offensive due his five year old son. I thank him for his comments and he and his friend continue to yell about the child. I state they should get a manager. When the manager, Chris, approaches the table he moves the family and states I have to leave. Confused, I asked him why? He stated because I was the loudest. When I inquired why I was being singled out from a group of 9, he stated because I was "loud with him" and argumentative. Please keep in mind, I am the customer that suggested management intervention, Chris witnessed the family yelling insults at me, the elderly man keeps walking by trying to engage with me, and I never raised my voice or showed Chris disrespect. Chris stated I could stay and my party gathered back at the table only to have Chris state to me again I had to leave because he was getting complaints from staff and customers. He states I can have my food and drinks for free but I had to go. I never been more embarrassed and confused. I didn't know if he was doing this because of my phenotypes because I was not the only boisterous person at this bar establishment. I was not the only one using unsavory words. However, I was the only one who was confronted by another customer and forced to leave by management.
But the cherry on the top of this poop show is my fiancee complained of horrible stomach cramps and spent the night in the restroom after eating the pizza. I didn't like the food as I only ate half my pizza.
Thanks for that experience. ...
Read moreThis was the third time we have given this Parry's restaurant location a chance. This is the third time they failed to meet anything close to our expectations . We ordered takeout pizza and wings - Over $60 order. We were told 30 minutes. We waited 30 minutes before we left the house, when we arrived at Parry's we were told it would be at least another 30 to 45 minutes before our order would be ready. The restaurant itself was maybe at 40% capacity. We were offered free drinks or a discount while we waited. I thought it was amazing that they were giving free alcohol drinks to people that were there to pick up their food and driving away. Nothing like keeping the community safe. We finally got our food after waiting about 40 more minutes, and made the 4-minute drive home. In that 4 minutes apparently our supposedly freshly baked pizza was nearly ice cold. So we had to put it back in the oven. The outrageously priced chicken wings were not worth half of what we paid for them. We will not go back and we cannot recommend this restaurant. Staff also always seems angry, at least those behind the bar. I have to wonder why they have a "special" menu for veterans on Veteran's Day as part of their free meals for veterans promotion. As a veteran myself that just seems rude and questionable by offering a seperate menu. If you want to honor veterans for their service by offering free food, don't make up a different menu because you're afraid of losing money or whatever the reason, stand by your words and just offer the regular menu, or just don't offer it in the first place.
We do frequently go to the Parry's Pizza on Lincoln Avenue in the Lone Tree / Inverness area. This location has always been outstanding with food that is fresh and hot every time with no...
