Applebees needs to improve. It is the only restaurant I go to in town where I never see the manager walk the floor and ask you how everything is. We have tried time and time again to give them our business but they keep giving us poor service and a long wait time to get our food. The waitress was training someone else but took an incredibly long time to bring us our appetizer then once he did she told us our food would be out soon but never came back to check on us. My husband had to call her trainee over to ask him about our food. He noticed we needed drinks and said the food would be out soon. When he sent her out she had some new drinks for us and said our food was almost ready except for a cheese pizza my daughter ordered. Mind you my husband had ordered a steak and I had ordered salmon. I told the waitress I didn't want cold food. We had been in the restaurant now almost an hour to 45 minutes. My husband asked for the manager and it took a while for him to come. The waitress had finally brought our food before we talked with him. He was apologetic and said he was really working to change the culture of the restaurant to encourage people to come back. He did cover our bill and give us $30 in gift cards for next time but my meal had been ruined. I didn't even eat it was getting late and We asked for boxes and left. Read moreThis evening we were hoping to have a decent meal, but the customer service alone made me want to leave, and that's with just placing a to go order. We waited for almost 15 minutes before even being acknowledged. Then we witnessed another waitress telling a staff that customers were waiting, that waitress looked at us and still proceeded to have a conversation with the lady working at the bar. We finally placed our order, came back at the designated time. Again, we walked in and still were not greeted. After another 5 minutes our food was brought to us, sat down in the banister, and we were told we could check out food if we'd like. Umm... yeah. You forgot how rude all your staff had been? Anyways after checking, we weren't asked if everything was to our liking or told to have a good evening. From what I've been taught, customer service is everything and makes your customers come back. We'll hate to tell you, but you just lost two. Thank you, and have a good evening.
I came back to edit this review after eating my food...I am highly dissatisfied. Literally everything was dry with the exception of spinach dip, but then again the chips were obviously mixed with older chips. The salsa was in dry clumps...how is that possible for salsa? Read moreI went to Applebees in Greenwood tonight to pick up some food my friend Tina ordered. We were getting the 2/$32 meal. Well that was a big rip off. The manager told us it included "2 salads for the appitizer, a steak and 2 sides. So we wanted bake potato with salad,, but the salad was the appetizer so we needed to pick one more side. But they said we don't have baked potatoes but we have loaded mash potatoes. He asked did we want double loaded potato for the 2 sides. Tina said yes. Well I went to pick up the order the lady said you here to pick up the 2/ 25 meals. And I said yes. She came out and said that was 42.00 I said how did 25 dollar turn into 42.48. She said you got double mashed potatoes and that was 1.99 a piece. So do the math. So Tina called the manager and ask how that was so. And he got very smart-a--ed with her and denied all he told her when she ordered. It makes me sick that people would stoop this low to get 20.00 bucks. The head manager need to check his employees. If not I will take care of it myself. That manager needs to lose his job or at least apologize to us and give our money back that he owes us. He never offered an "I'm sorry for anything" He was literally yelling at her on the phone. Totally...
