This place was a great discovery (take out and dine in).
The staff is kind, swift and very efficient; the premises are clean but a little dark; tables have a reasonable distance from each other making it possible to walk comfortably between them even with people in both sides of the alley.
They gave us the order within minutes, always friendly and willing to help; the Carolina BBQ sauce was pretty great, they had enough paper towels and the water was cold, which is an added bonus.
About the food: ·Pulled pork: This was our favourite dish here, the meat is tender, well hydrated, not greasy and perfectly cooked. ·Baked Beans: Don't miss the opportunity to try them, they are the absolute best. ·Turkey: Delicious, on point, you can taste the smoky flavor without being too much. One of our favourite dishes. ·Chicken: It was great, smoky and not greasy. ·Coleslaw: Pretty great, it had the right amount of mayo. ·Hush puppies: So great, just a bit greasy. ·Baked Potato: good but can be better with some pepper and a pinch of salt. ·Brisket: It was good, just not that juicy. ·Ribs: Not that great, kinda dry.

Read moreMy daughter and I went to Fat Daddy's for dinner tonight. It was a less than pleasant experience. 1. They left off my daughter's side of Maceroni and Cheese. I had to go back and pay for the side item. 2. I ordered a Brisket plate with green beans and Maceroni and Cheese. I ended up getting baked beans instead of green beans. When they fixed the order, the green beans were very soupy and bland. 3. The beef brisket was aweful. At least 1/3 of it was fat and gristle. The brisket should have had the fat trimmed away before serving. The serving staff was very inattentive. I had to go to the counter three times during my meal. One of those times I had to request a knife so that I could cut my brisket. My daughter remarked about the decor of pigs, cows, and chickens. The art work left her feeling she was doing something wrong by eating there and she felt guilty. Overall, it was a bad experience and I will not be returning. I would advise people to avoid...
Read moreAfter being closed all week you’d think they'd be prepared…man were we wrong. Not only did they not have any brisket (which is the thing most people go to a bbq restaurant for) they didn’t even have a single beer. To top it off, they only had two racks of ribs left…and they only started with 4 total for the night…and not back ribs…but side ribs. So we ordered the last scraps of ribs they had and hash…which was a watery white rice/emulsified pork monstrosity with bits of canned pineapple. The saddest part of it all was that the baked beans, that seemingly came from a can, were the best part. It’s hard to be this bad, but man I have to applaud them, because this level of failure is an...
