Serio's Italian Steakhouse — Restaurant in Greenwood

I booked the room with Erin for my birthday dinner like 2 weeks before my birthday. She said she’s the manager! She didn’t mention a deposit or any fee for the room. So yesterday my dinner was for 7pm. I stopped by at 6pm to drop my cake off & she asked did I pay a deposit for the room. & they had gave the ROOM AWAY! I was livid! She never mentioned a deposit. I asked her about a deposit. She said it was $100 deposit only if it’s 20 or more people. I was not having more than 15 so I said I didn’t need to pay it. She said we could get a smaller area with booths. My thing is if I booked the room already why would they book it for somebody else with more people.. i guess because they had more people & would be spending more money! Idk! I could have paid the $100 deposit if I needed to! She didn’t mention it. I was very upset. We ended up getting the smaller booths because I had invited people, got a cake & had my makeup done. Maybe it was just a bad night, but tonight when my coworkers and I went for dinner it was not great at all. It took 20 minutes between our appetizers and salads to get to the table. The little things we asked for, like extra ranch or silverware, we never received. We didn't worry about it the first time, but the 2nd and 3rd time we were a little frustrated. When our food finally came out, it was below standards. Our food was cold and my food was overcooked and hard. The butter had already started to solidify on my plate. We had to get silverware from another table. Finally, a coworker went to the kitchen door to ask for what we needed, only to see workers on their phones, laughing and talking with food sitting in the window. When we received the check our waitress "accidentally" added gratuity to our check. There was only 5 of us. To top things off, our server was the manager. Needless to say we were very disappointed in the service. The hostess, Angel, took better care of us than our server. We made a reservation well in advance for 7/27/24. The restaurant was not busy when we arrived. We were seated behind a curtain at a four top. Our waitress took appetizer and drink orders which arrived 20 minutes later. The ice had halfway melted and the other drinks were not cold but the appetizers were. I had to go to the bar to get a second round of drinks and they were as they should be. We bussed our own plates prior to dinner, on a tray outside the curtain. Waitress didn't care that we had new drinks without her help and cleaned table. Dinner was served "a little closer to temp".
