We gave Stone Creek (new location) a 2nd chance. Our first visit was during a lunch hour when the restaurant wasn’t busy , the food took forever and was mediocre if that. Last night we went for dinner. The restaurant wasn’t very busy and again poor service with mediocre food (if that). We were sat just by the stairwell , at a very unstable/wobbly table. I mentioned this to our waitress immediately after almost spilling a glass of water and she responded quickly with an attitude and “what do you want me to do? I’ll get a manager” in a very rude tone. She comes back with a handful of bar coasters to prop under the leg of the table. At this point we’re totally turned off by the servers attitude and ready to go before we even ordered a drink and food (we should have left then as it was the first red flag). I ordered a bourbon from their drink menu that was $22 , once we got the check it was $27.50 , because of “ice” , not a nice cube of ice just plain ice (I’ve been charged for a cube before , but not regular melting ice) “she said oh yeah I almost mentioned that when you said “on the rock”, it’s a 2oz pour VS 1.5oz (what I ordered) and was charged another $5.50 . So between the waitress attitude , over charging on drink , mediocre food , and a wobbly “brand new table” , we’re not giving this place another opportunity. $180 later (10% tip which I even regret giving her that). You are much better off spending your money at Our Table or another quality restaurant. Don’t be distracted by the new building and fancy decors , the food and service doesn’t match. Not even close! Very...
Read moreMy wife and I were loyal patrons for several years until tonight. Sunday evening, about 5:45pm, we were seated and sat there for 15 minutes without seeing a server, but that's not why we will never come back. In reading the menu (that I knew pretty well) I noticed the prices seemed much higher than the last time we were there a couple weeks ago, and that's because they were. I noticed all of the sandwiches were raised by $2.95, from $16 to $18.95. Everything else on the menu had a price increase, some by $1 and other items increased as much as $8. The 14oz ribeye was $42 and is now $49.75, which is laughable!
Bottom line is "CORPORATE GREED". As a business owner and consumer, I am so sick and tired of businesses using "inflation" as an excuse to justify raising their prices for no other reason than to increase profits. Cunningham restaurant group, a few questions below, please feel free to answer them here for everyone to see and not reply with your generic, automated response of "please call us at ... to resolve this".
Q. As a loyal customer, how do your price increases benefit me, is the quality of your ingredients going to be higher, was there an upgrade in suppliers? I'm assuming not.
Q. As inflation (which is probably your reasoning for the increases) goes down, will you lower the prices?
Q. Did you raise prices just at the Stone Creek's or at all Cunningham restaurants?
I'm done! Cunningham restaurant group is now added to my "do not use list". And you can bet your bottom dollar that I will share this with my family and...
Read moreThe last time I visited a Stone Creek restaurant was when it was on St Rd. 135 north of Fry Rd. It was our go-to family restaurant and went many dozens of times over the course of a decade. Loved it.
For my parents 62nd Wedding Anniversary we decided to take them to the new location. Gorgeous building, great decor, but from the the moment we walked in I got the vibe the staff were not professional. Lame greeting by the front desk, like they were too busy to engage. When we left there were 5 greeters at the front desk and not a single one looked up and said goodbye. It was like a gaggle of teenage girls. And then the same vibe from our waitress. Going to skip to the short story version: Waitress made dozens of errors Sirloin steak passed off as a Ribeye, undercooked, dry as a bone Everyone's broccoli was cold Everyone's mashed potatoes were cold Filet medallions were barely edible Bourbon meatloaf was some unidentifiable type of meat (mushroom glaze/sauce was good)
The food was no where near the level it was at when located off 135/Fry.
We did inform the manager and she attempted to make it right, but there was just too much for a manager to fix. I have never watched one of those "bar rescue" shows...I thought the plot was contrived...I may have to eat those words. This place needs one of those rescue chef/owners.
We all left sad because we knew we would never...
