** update- came in a few weeks ago through the drive through and was told they’re only doing door dash, tried again tonight walked inside and waited in line for 20 minutes only to be told they weren’t taking anymore orders and were closing. Mind you it was 10 and they close at 11. Been there since a little after 930 regardless. Nothing but children playing around. This establishment is a waste of time.
** update— I believe in the truth so I felt like I needed to update this. I tried zaxbys again tonight for the first time since my below negative experience anddddd it was great. I hope it continues!
Went inside and ordered for take out. The gentleman that walked from the back was very nice. I should have checked my bag before leaving. That’s on me. I received my order fairly quickly. $14 for old, unseasoned fries, old, over cooked and very small chicken tenders (like the bottom of a bag kind of deal), hard bread, didn’t get the correct sides of sauce (that are charged for), the soda tasted weird like sulfur (can’t really describe it), the inside of the restaurant was empty. There were about 15 employees in the kitchen (standing around) and 1 girl up front. The to go line was wrapped around the building and no one was doing anything in the kitchen. (Should have been my red flag to just leave) I don’t know what’s going on here and I don’t even know why I’m writing this because no one (at any level) cares about quality anymore. Corporations will just push managers to push for fake reviews from friends and employees versus fixing the issues. That’s the way of the world. Read moreFor context I love Zaxbys, it is my comfort food. I had a rough day so I just wanted to come get zaxbys but it just made my day worse. I got there and they weren’t that busy. I went through the drive thru line and I ordered a boneless wings and things with tongue torch and extra ranch. I was asked to pull to a parking spot, which was fine I didn’t mind the wait. They weren’t closing for another hour anyways, but once it got to be 10:30 I started wondering where my food was. I’d been waiting for a while in my car for my food so I went inside to see if maybe they’d forgotten. It was just sitting on the counter so I got it and brought it back to my apartment. There was no sauce on the wings and no ranch either and I didn’t want to eat dry food so I drove back to get my sauces and I got there 5 minutes before they closed. The drive thru line was wrapped around the building, so they were still serving customers anyways and all I needed was 3 sauce packets, so I was going to go inside to get my sauces but the doors were already locked. I understand them locking the doors, but at the same time they close at 11. I hadn’t eaten anything in 12 hours, I just wanted some good comfort food. I did not want to wait in the drive thru line for another 45 minutes just to get sauces but I wish I did. That was the worst zaxbys I’ve ever had and the boneless wings were so dry and gross that I couldn’t eat them. The fries were cold from sitting on the counter and reheated fries aren’t any good. Read moreIn serious need of leadership! Placed an online order, arrived when instructed, and then waited an hour for our food. The girl and guy working front counter were very polite and as helpful as they could be. Manager stayed in the back the whole time. The girl up front told him numerous times that our order had never been made and even handed him the receipt. He just disappeared at that point...acting like he either didn't believe her or just didn't care. Either way it's poor management and poor customer service. The front counter girl actually had to go to the back and make our order herself. Being in the restaurant business for 20+ years, it takes a lot to make me mad. I don't know that I've ever left a negative review before. The fact that the manager never acknowledged the hour long wait or apologized at all really got under my skin. If upper management needs an ID...he's bald, gives zero direction to his team, and couldn't care less about what's going on in the restaurant.
