Carmella's Ristorante — Restaurant in Grenada

I’ll start by stating the food is good. There are small things I would tweak personally. The fired cheese is too brittle to be dipped in marina. I had use a fork, which felt unconvention. The pasta was good. I love the mozzarella on top. The meal felt too sauce heavy. The garlic knots felt like they were there. They didn’t add any thing to the meal. Service was a tad slow. The food came out quick, but I feel like my only time I saw the waitress stop by was when I sat to order, when the food arrive, and when I was finished. There was a lengthy period where I waited for a refill. The table next to me was loud and obnoxious. They sang aloud, and I felt like I couldn’t eat in peace. I nearly walked out of the restaurant. My experience was awful. I don’t think this is a restaurant I can take colleagues to nor do I see me taking any dates here. I felt like the environment in the restaurant was not elegant whatsoever. Went yesterday for the pizza, it was a great disappointment with hardly any toppings . I had them put 3 things on my hubby’s side that I do not eat on a combo pizza, otherwise it would have had only about 12 pieces of pepperoni, certainly not enough for an $18 pizza that they were charging me $21 for, so check you receipts closely, it was blamed on the cash register lol. I also got an Eggplant parmigiana sandwich and Italian grinder to go.... also a big disappointment, as the eggplant was cut lengthwise and was tough, bitter and stringy!! The Italian had been heated in the oven, not what I had remembered from previous purchases and apparently the cup of dressing leaked as it was greasy as all get out, needless to say the meat was transferred to another roll. Service was just PK as we were given a minute to look at the menu and 10 minutes later my hubby had to go in search of the waitress. I had Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp & Mushrooms. Delicious and a generous serving. My husband had a large Calzone with 4 meats, 2 cheeses, peppers & onions. He loved it. I would have given 5 stars, except there were cloth tablecloths, and they were damp. I noticed immediately and went to another table, also damp. The 3rd table was less damp. I was told that it was because they wipe the tablecloths with damp cloths when they clear the tables. That doesn't seem very sanitary to me. I think they should change the tablecloths each time or use tablecloths with a nonporus surface. Otherwise, at the end of the day, that absorbent cloth will still have remnants of every fluid anyone has spilled or dripped on it. All that damp cloth will do is remove surface crumbs & leave it DAMP. That feels icky! Also, the ladies room is not equipped for handicapped people. However, on a positive note, we both...
