Waffle House — Restaurant in Griffin

I went in for a to go order I go at the same time twice a week and get the same order. I know pretty much all the employees on night shift usually always nice and I leave a good tip they all know that! UNTIL Tuesday night I think her name was Michelle or Melissa idk she has long curly dark hair and wears a lot of make up STOLE MONEY FROM MY MOTHER!!!! I went in Tuesday night ordered something different (it was my mothers) I didn’t leave a tip bc my sweet mom only had 25 dollars on her card the total was 24.20 so unfortunately I couldn’t leave the tip and the woman seemed really angry didn’t give me utensils butter syrup nothing!!!! Today my mom got a overdraft charge leaving her in the NEGATIVES! This has been notified to the police! CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS PEOPLE!!! She gave herself a 50 dollar tip!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m a waitress I know it’s hard and frustrating when ppl don’t tip but I never steal another persons money EVER!!!! It happens all the time ppl don’t leave tips on to go orders…. I rarely get tips on to go orders at my job. And I always tip them really good at Waffle House again CAUSE IM A WAITRESS I KNOW HOW IT IS!!! Long story short ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS CROSS OUT YOUR TIPS IF YOUR NOT LEAVING ONE THIS WAS SO DISAPPOINTING!

Side note: the morning shift people were very nice and helpful this morning they felt bad about the situation, but I will be in there to speak with the thief myself...

Usually have good service. Food is always good. Prices are great. I hate that they took out the big corner booth when they remodeled. They've been short staffed for a while now and will only open a few tables or close the inside and only take to-go orders. It's very frustrating.

Update 6/16/23 We went here at 10 pm on a Friday and it was packed. All the employees looked new, I'd never seen them before. I really liked the new staff. They did an amazing job. They were all super friendly and did a great job keeping drinks refilled, getting orders out quickly and keeping tables clean.

Update 09/04/23 Everything was great tonight. The service was on point and the food was perfect. No complaints. The waitress was friendly and did a great job clearing away dishes and refilling drinks. Another guy came to the table and checked on us also. I'm going with 2 stars because the food was good and the service was average. The problems however were that after being specifically asked if I wanted chese, lettuce, tomato on my burger it came completely plain. Waitress disappeared so I gave up on getting the toppings and ate it plain. Waffle and bacon for my child finally showed up after we had already eaten everything else. Then the real kicker... When we got the bill for 3 people (2 regular adult meals and a kids meal) it was $39 and some change. Added up what was on the ticket and what we ordered and got $28, asked the waitress if she could re-add and sure enough it came to $29 and change. That's a $10 overage mistake. Cashier (who wasn't our waitress) half heartedly apologized. In all honesty it's on par for a night crew at waffle house and others in the area are not any better but still mistakes that made our visit unpleasant.
