Great food great service. Tonight I got the salad with fried chicken and ranch. The chicken fingers were really good. They were tender and juicy and their ranch was delicious. Only negative thing is I called and asked how long the wait was for 2 people and they told me 10 minutes. I was only right across the street so I went straight there, took less than 5 minutes. Went inside to put my name on the list and she said it was a 25 minute wait.
Update 01/11/23 I usually either get the filet mignon or the ribeye cooked medium. Either one is really good and tender and it's always cooked perfectly. I also get the parmesan crusted broccoli. I definitely recommend you try it. We went on a Wednesday this time and there wasn't any wait.
Update 07/20/23 Tonight I got the ribeye medium and it was cooked perfectly. I got it with parmesan crusted broccoli and a side salad. Everything was delicious except there was way too much dressing on the salad. Next time I'll remember to tell them to put it on the side. Our server was great. We got our drinks and bread right away and got our orders taken. Only negative thing I can say is I wish she had cleared some of the dirty dishes from the table because it was pretty cramped with all the dirty dishes on the table.
Update 04/06/24 This place has the BEST chicken sandwiches. They're not on the menu but they still have them and they're always huge and so delicious. Definitely try one! We also got the cheesecake tonight. First time ever getting the cheesecake here and it was AMAZING. It was big and round, not a triangle slice. It was drizzled with caramel and had candied pecans that just made it perfect. I don't have a reason to go back to cheesecake factory now that I've tried this cheesecake. I'd much rather have this one, it was perfect.
Update 08/11/24 We had another great dinner tonight. We got the spicy chicken bites for an appetizer and they were the perfect mix of spicy (not too spicy) and sweet. Even my husband who doesn't like spicy stuff was eating them. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked and butter soft it was delicious. I got a baked potato and parmesan crusted broccoli with it. The server was very nice and did a great job keeping...
Read moreI ordered the ribeye with sauted mushrooms to be cooked medium well but I received the smallest ribeye ever that was cooked medium rare I believe. There was blood sitting on top of it & the meat was pretty much raw. I did try a bite because I usually don't complain but I could literally taste the blood.. We told the waitress who came back with another lady a few minutes later they both looked at it & asked what I wanted to do & I said that I would like a medium well steak. So they took my plate from me & said they would take care of it. Everyone else at the table was pretty much done eating at this point. So about 10 minutes later they come back with the same steak missing an entire strip of it & without my mushrooms. So i had to ask them to bring more mushrooms & they did. Although I was frustrated I tried the steak which was then like chewing on a tire so I complained again & the waitress asked if I wanted a refund on the steak. I said sure since I wasn't going to eat it. She came back a minute later & asked for my plate. She took it somewhere I'm guessing to show management & came back a few minutes later with it asking if I wanted it back. No thank you! This steak traveled around the restaurant including to be recooked. Did they seriously think I would want it back a third time. I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of one because everyone else's food was fine. My husband got a ribeye like mine cooked the same way & it came out right. If they had actually wanted to make it right they could of cooked a fresh steak or offered me something else. Instead it was half an hour of back n forth only to leave without any main course at all. It seems like a "steakhouse" would of handled this better & more professionally. We were visiting the area from out of town unfortunately this Longhorns just left a bad...
Read moreIn the past I have really enjoyed going to Longhorn in Griffin. For the most part I have been happy with service and quality of food until my last three visits.
I was there two weeks ago and ordered salmon for a change. It was bland, dry, and tasteless. The bread was not fresh. The Caesar dressing tasted metallic (I have noticed this in the past as well.) I was with two family members that evening and they commented that their food was not really good either.
Today I went with a friend for a late lunch and to take advantage of the Flo's Filet for 15.99 deal. I ordered my steak between medium and medium well. My friend ordered theirs medium rare. When the server brought the plates she handed me the medium rare steak and it was pretty much medium rare, but not my steak. She handed my friend my steak. It was well done. I normally do not send food back, but I have decided that I am going to be more assertive in situations like this. I told the server that I needed a new steak. I ate my potato while waiting.
As usual, when they have to redo a steak, they bring another potato on the plate. I didn't really want it, but wouldnt have eaten it if I had. There was a hair sitting right in the middle of the blob of sour cream. By the way, I had ordered my potato with no sour cream. Both potatoes I was served had sour cream.
Also of note, the filet steaks at Longhorn are 1/3 to 1/2 the thickness of those in their advertisements.
Griffin Longhorn needs to step up it's game or it will be on it's way out. It will be a long time...
