New China — Restaurant in Grovetown

Omg! I just had the MOST incredible experience. The food was amazing. If you want true authentic Chinese food this IS the place. I had Shrimp Egg Fu Yon with shrimp fried rice and an egg roll for only $9.99. It was cooked to perfection with almond gravy. My husband had the 10 piece wings with beef fried rice. It was also great. The wings were nicely brown and seasoned well. The chicken noodle soup was Um Um good. Last but not least, we had the sweet and sour chicken. The batter on the chicken was crispy and buttery. You didn’t taste any dough. To top it off, Colby was our waiter. If you want an unforgettable experience from a 12 year old, you MUST come here. I eat out majority of the time because I’m always traveling for work, but never thought in a million years a 12 year old would knock my family and I off our feet!!!! He left you wanting to come back the next day. He did not miss a beat. From the time we walked through the door we were like WOW! Our drinks remained full, dirty plates were removed immediately, he knew the menu inside out and he recommended great food choices. Now, remember he’s only 12. This place we thought at first was nice, but we now feel differently. The owner fix’s the good as the people come in just to save food, then I’ve seen on two occasions she takes the chick wings up and takes them in the back and brings them back out again the bar is never stocked the waitress is always uptight so we said we I’ll never go here again the almond chicken is good the wings are good but I don’t like because the bar is not stocked and they want you to pay first so they can get your money and when you get to bar they say oh you have to wait and they cook 6-10wings 5 almond chicken and 3pieves of fish that was crazy so if you have an appetite don’t go here bc you will have to wait, and the customer service...

Gross. My husband ordered shrimp fried rice. He did not like it at all. Very bland.

I ordered teriyaki chicken. What I got was weird super peppery chicken with snow peas, onions, & broccoli with fried rice. All I could taste was the massive amount of pepper. Not one hint of teriyaki.

We also ordered potstickers. They were burnt around the edges and mushy on the inside.

I called and told them that I had not received my teriyaki chicken but the lady just yammered on about how it was indeed teriyaki chicken. She kept speaking over me and was telling me that I ordered wrong. I didn’t know there was a major pepper version of that minus the teriyaki sauce!
