Bonanza — Restaurant in Guilford Township

Went there today. This was the first time eating at a restaurant in 4 months due to the Covid-19. It stated to use distancing and wear a mask when away from your table. That was perfect for us as especially as it is a buffet and you don't want people spreading germs on the open food. My husband and I filled our plates with our masks and gloves on and went back to our table. After 5 minutes I noticed a couple come in with no mask on. So I watched them and up to the food bar they went with no mask. I called the manager and he came over to our table to see what the issue was. So I preceded to tell him about our concern with them spreading germs over food. I explained to him that if we had of known this was not going to be enforced we would not have come in. He told me that he was sorry that there was nothing he could do. So I simply told him, well I have lost my appetite and we both pushed our plates aside and told him that we wanted a refund. I will never go in there again and will spread the word about their policy or should I say lack of??? They are not even worth the 1 star but have to leave at least one in...

I don’t even know where to start but to say run from this place & don’t go . Literally this was the am worst buffet food I have ever had in my entire life . Food looked old and dried . The chicken and chicken wings was so incredibly over cooked. My husband got a piece of fish and it dang near chipped/broke his tooth it was ROCK HARD !! The best part was dessert and then the Carmel container was so sticky it could not have been washed anytime lately with so hot water . They told my hubby they was bringing out crab soup and never did but Im not sure he would have eaten it. Nothing hot was fresh and there was just workers standing around literally doing nothing . Service very poor we had to ask few times for drinks and never once was we asked if our food was good . I was hoping a manager walked around asking how our food was bc I would have told her . So I hadn't been to Bonanza and probably three decades. So we thought we'd try one of the last few bonanzas that surround. Now my atmosphere rating and my food rating isn't really great but I didn't expect it to be great. That being said food was decent nothing to write home about I would say it is about on par with Golden Corral which is fine. I will tell you that this place was much cleaner than most any Golden Corral you'll walk in which is a good thing. It looks to be that they could switch companies and become another restaurant fairly easily because the only thing I saw Bonanza on other than the sign outside and the building was the menus and the shirts the servers wore everything else was generically named. If you've not been to a bonanza forever it's certainly worth a shot. I will tell you that the prices I thought were very reasonable. If you have kids I certainly think this is a good buffet for you.
