Meadows Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Guilford Township

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars because their chocolate custard is absolutely delicious! Definitely the best place for ice cream in Chambersburg. However, I am going to give them 4 stars because the customer service I received could’ve been better. I went through the drive thru last night. Explained that I wanted chocolate custard in a cone upside down in a cup.. I get it this way because otherwise it would melt as I’m driving and that would get messy. First the girl tried giving me vanilla when I ordered chocolate, then she tried giving it to me in a cup and plopping the ice cream cone on top of the cup so there wasn’t any ice cream in the actual cone. When I said something to her about it she seemed bothered by my request to put ice cream in the cone, I felt like she was in such a hurry and was more concerned with rushing that she was negligent in getting the orders right and got a little sloppy with her work.. Speedy service is great and all but not at the expense...

This is our favorite ice cream - “treat” shop in Chambersburg- good flavors, friendly staff, clean seating area- my favorite part of the Meadows is how visible they are in the community-Anthony is a goodwill ambassador of Chambersburg, always giving back-for years, the kids-regardless of schools receive reward cards occasionally handed out, events through the ymca and downtown outreach often have meadows available for all to enjoy. If looking for a business to support that keeps heart in the community, look no further- after ball game trips, school is out trips, gram and gramp are visiting trips, “it was a bad day let’s stop and get an Italian ice” trips…the meadows has it covered. They have a rewards point system as if the custard isn’t good enough- but above all, I love feeling that we are supporting a really great business that is there for the community through all seasons of life- keep up the great work and keep the turtle sundaes coming, a favorite of...

Meadows is a thing of great debate in my home. Some believe that real ice cream should be the only thing served. If you can see from my five-star reading I strongly disagree. I'm not going to argue that it's better for you because let's face it it's still a fattening dessert. But when it comes to unique flavors the Meadows takes the win. Check online for their calendar that shows the special flavors for each day. Not to mention their service is fast which is important since they're always busy. Also their staff is pleasant even though again, they're always busy. I would say that the fact they're always busy speaks for itself...
